Yup, my wife Shannen is pregnant of our first child!

This morning we had the final proof with the ultrasound at the midwife office. A little miracle of 4 cm, 11 weeks and a few days old, everything in great order, and almost 100% sure it’s going to be a healthy kid, to be born around May 11, 2012. At least that’s what the midwife said…

Happy Arthur! We really, really, really wanted this to happen!

Are you going to find out the sex of the baby, or are you going to wait till he/she is born? I found out as soon as I could I think you can around 18 weeks.

I’ll leave that to my wife, so far we have not spoken about the sex of the baby. But we know already the girl’s name and the boy’s name, and we just hope that the baby is healthy and fine. Next Monday we go for a Down test, just to be sure.

Full name of our boy became Aydan QiXuan Sim van Pelt, since a Feng Shiu master from Shannen her family said our boy is born under a good sign, so we should use this name also. Who am I to start a cultural issue here, I think it sounds cool anyway…
