Glissandra is in the tower – which is part of a Panopticon – and is guarded by the Chimera (also female) but she dreams of escaping on a Pale Horse….to Oceania.

i mean, is it confirmed that the vinyl record is already out there? (i read somewhere that they were slightly delayed.)
i wonder how the vinyl version looks. has anyone seen any pictures?
i also wonder if it’s a record on three sides, just like adore, for example. the album has the right length for three sides. or they might go for four.

    • #43459

sp.com says \"double LP\", so i assume they went for four sides.

well, after many many listening i cannot help but say that OCEANIA will be better without 3 tracks i really can’t understand:
. The Chimera, good for an American Pie 14 soundtrack.
. Glissandra… it’s smell like SP old school but it is not SP. Dispensable
. Inkless, guess it is an EMI wanted to get back Hard Fans?
the rest of the Album take place in my heart because of its maturity, its sensibility and its daring innovation in Smashing Pumpkins sound.
i think there many people here that share this feeling!

      those two cds are identical.

there is only one version of the album.
there are however small differences depending on where the cd is released, of course. (e.g. EU version, US version, canadian version, japanese version, and so on)

I love the swirly guitars in Glissandra, and what has Inkless got to do with EMI..?
I think it would be better without One Diamond One Heart – too ‘pop’ for SP
also I’m now skipping listening to Wildflower – so I have my own Oceania playlist without those 2 songs :)

That goes for The Celestials, Violet Rays, Pale Horse and Oeania, so far my favourite tracks. It is a really good album indeed! The only so-so song for me is Pinwheels, but hey… That is all! Compliments to the band, and everybody involved in making this album possible.

I have been driving for like 5 hours almost today, so I listened to the Budokan boot also. And there I got goosebumps… Heavy Metal Machine, with Billy screaming his heart out, and a very different guitar solo in the middle part. Damn, I just love these live shows!

When I listened to Oceania, the track, then at 5 minutes in the song somewhere, Mike slowly comes back, but that part is so f*cking impressive… Damn! 8)
