Black
A hole in the void of space
Black nothingness in the empty sky
Stars plucked off the blanket
A new moon taking flight

The moon calls to the sun
To give it the sign to awake
The sun sleeps in other worlds
We dream before the sky reflects

Reflections of the sun in the moon
Winter’s gaze looks down on June
The buds appear to peep outside
The silver frost returns again

Some poems I’ve dug out from a few years ago:

The River
The water drags in the middle
Sinking down beneath the willow
The stones below are smooth
And the fish swim in for a closer look

Their eyes bulge out glaring
One gulp of water they swallow
Then off into the bubbling rapids
Grasping roots climbing the bank

The mud clings and water drips
Slippery earth gives way
The grass is long and slimy
Burrows hiding behind the stems

Hidden creatures stir
Amongst the mud and grass
Only coming out at night
To wander where they may

suffocated by the strangeness
wounded inside
there’s no connection
the reasons still hide

not knowing where to go
upside down spinning around
pushing pulling another direction
what is there to be found

Audioslave – Be Yourself :)

Someone falls to pieces, sleeping all alone
Someone kills the pain, spinning in the silence
To finally drift away
Someone gets excited
In a chapel yard and catches a bouquet
Another lays a dozen, white roses on a grave

Yeah and to be yourself is all that you can do
Hey, to be yourself is all that you can do

Someone finds salvation in everyone, another only pain
Someone tries to hide himself, down inside himself he prays
Someone swears his true love until the end of time
Another runs away, separate or united, healthy or insane

And to be yourself is all that you can do, yeah
(All that you can do)
To be yourself is all that you can do
(All that you can do)To be yourself is all that you can do
(All that you can do)
Hey, be yourself is all that you can do

Even when you’ve paid enough
Been pulled apart or been held up
Every single memory of the good or bad
Faces of luck
Don’t lose any sleep tonight
I’m sure everything will end up alright
You may win or lose

But to be yourself is all that you can do, yeah
To be yourself is all that you can do
Oh, to be yourself is all that you can do
(All that you can do)
Hey, to be yourself is all that you can do
(All that you can do)
To be yourself is all that you can
Be yourself is all that you can
Be yourself is all that you can do

He asked us to sing it to him TWICE!

‘and all along, i knew it was wrong
but i played along, with my birthday song’

I dream of answers
I dream of ideas
I seek a promise
I seek the truth

A forgotten key
A remembered smile
The forgotten search
The remembered dreams

Promise of an answer
The idea of truth
Search for dreams
Forget to remember

Am I allowed to post this poem of Billy’s here? (copyright laws etc). I really like this one.

Courage

There is of course the courage of a single flower
Pushing its form thru concrete
If only to be trampled into dust

What is worth speaking
If seeking is death?
Does meaning become
Meaningless?

Summoning up the voice
To do the will of the soul
To explore the far reaches of my wonder
I make the choice to speak

Is it so simple
That it’s easy to overlook
That living is poetry
And poetry nothing less[/quote:y0ugl249]

Destroying ourselves every day
Counting down the hours
Til the end is in sight
What makes this alright?

Is there any hope out there
Is everyone consumed
Preoccupied with greed
Taking everything we need

It makes me sick
Power playing games one-sided
We seek through revolution
Knowing there is no one solution

thanks! :) I wrote that one a little while ago, it just sort of came out like that, like many others do. Some take a little bit more effort though – I always seem to get stuck on the endings. :?

Just after dark I wrote
A million episodes of the heart
Candied caution to the wind

It speaks helplessly
To those unaware
Finding the same page
Never giving up hope
Thoughts trapped in prisons

I’ll stay here with you
if you don’t mind
and dance in the dark shadows
writing down our puzzle pieces
forever waiting on change

Bjork – \"Bachelorette\"

I’m a fountain of blood
In the shape of a girl
You’re the bird on the brim
Hypnotised by the Whirl

Drink me, make me feel real
Wet your beak in the stream
Game we’re playing is life
Love is a two way dream

Leave me now, return tonight
Tide will show you the way
If you forget my name
You will go astray
Like a killer whale
Trapped in a bay

I’m a path of cinders
Burning under your feet
You’re the one who walks me
I’m your one way street

I’m a whisper in water
Secret for you to hear
You are the one who grows distant
When I beckon you near

Leave me now, return tonight
The tide will show you the way
If you forget my name
You will go astray
Like a killer whale
Trapped in a bay

I’m a tree that grows hearts
One for each that you take
You’re the intruder hand
I’m the branch that you break

a bit of a rambling poem that doesn’t really make any sense:

There is no reason left to define
We cannot answer till we find
Cannot cope without the cause
Cannot hope before we pause

Into shadows we disappear
Without purpose we have no fear
It’s long enough to know
Can take some time to let it show

For answers we have no reason
And love is out of season
Just pin on these wings
I have no use for such things

Flying to an unknown destination
Take chances on a new sensation
Does it go anywhere
And do we care

Plenty of time to find out
Tomorrow’s there with no doubt
Do we lie in wait
It’s no time to hesitate

Let it be known
Let it be shown
Spilling the echoes out over the grave
Where buried memories sound all the same

Nothing stays in constant motion
Yet everything changes
The same old shit that people give
This is not the way to live

How long will this last
Wasted days of being falling into the past…..

Stuck like a magnet
This moment in time
Never changing
It goes on and on
The same old thing
Something lost
The past is broken
Time never heals
Our memories
Are still there
The emotional scars
Make us stronger
If we let them
Learning lessons
Evolving

Muse – Yes Please

Hooohoooha yes please HAHA!

I cannot sleep
There’s too much noise in my head
I cannot sleep
I want it here instead

I never thought that this could come to this
I just wanna look at your face in peace now
You’ll never miss
But I can

I cannot keep
The shame that’s clawed us out
I will not keep
Your shut-up, shut-up lies

I never thought that this could come to this
I just wanna live in bliss, in peace now
You will never miss
But I can

Its ok. I have to say I’m not a big fan of the sitars. :?
If you listen to all three songs together, Song for a Son stands out as the best, a good decision to release first. And Widow is going to be a fun song if/when performed live.

I’m looking forward to hearing how Tom Tom turns out too.

nuclear weapons will destroy us before we ever use more of our brain power. for the masses anyway.[/quote:25h27xy9]

either that or our civilization as we know it will destroy us, we’re not following the evolutionary law – the law of limited competition:

And if a species decides to disregard the law then they become extinct.[/quote:25h27xy9]
http://www.deep-ecology-hub.com/law-of- … ition.html

And this could happen through the collapse of the economy:

Ecological collapse happens because we are forced to bring more and more natural resources into the money economy and make it grow exponentially, following the pathological growth of the money system.[/quote:25h27xy9]

Although the economy totally collapsing could end up being a good thing. :!:

who is telling the truth and who is lying?

agh a riddle!

there are actually two possibilities:
One tells the truth and one lies or both lie. (It isn’t possible that both tell the truth because in that case it would have been the answer).
So, if one of them explains this setup to you, you can only be sure of one thing: The other one lies. The way to solve this riddle is therefore to ask the other one and do the opposite of what he said to do.

Thoughts left to compost
In the garden of reason
Digging up the past
Waiting for the new season
Sowing seeds in the mind
Flowering of a new vision
Allow it to grow in time
Make a fruitful decision
