mirrorboxerSpectatorIf anyone is still waiting to pick up this LP boxset, amazon.ca (Canada) has this listed at $59.99CAD.
mirrorboxerSpectatoranybody find the vinyl at a decent price […]?[/quote:g098d6zt]
This is what i’ve been waiting for. I can’t justify the current price. My eyes have been open, but the best I’ve seen is $98 on amazon.ca
Anyone seen better? I’m looking for $75-80 ($15/EP)
mirrorboxerSpectatorI live in the US and I’ve ordered from amazon US, UK, CA.
US to US is listed price plus free shipping over $25
UK to US is VAT free but I pay their standard shipping rate (~3GBP)
CA to US is listed price plus international shipping rate (~10CAD)
mirrorboxerSpectatorDoes anyone know what the person won in ‘Special Winner’s Song’ for being ticket holder 500? The band (Billy) said that they would send some cool stuff.

mirrorboxerSpectatorCAVEAT: I can’t actually confirm that there is in fact a S/M because I only saw the one they guy brought out from the back for me to buy (which was a L/XL) I heard him on the walkie talkie talking to guest services asking which of the sizes I wanted.
RE: the picture sleeve. It’s not too small for the record. It’s probably cut to exactly fit the single. The width is fine and holds the vinyl perfectly. It is just alot shorter than most sleeves. So when I put the record in an inner paper sleeve, the inner sticks out of the top by quite a bit.
mirrorboxerSpectatorNow that I’m thinking about it, it’s funny that Target employees don’t seem to think that they carry vinyl. I’ve purchased the Pearl Jam – Backspacer vinyl LP as a Target exclusive. I’ve also purchased the Beatles t-shirt/7\" exclusive box sets that they sold last year.
But this does have the word pumpkin in the description, so it should probably be with Halloween decorations or costumes since it has a shirt inside. BOOOOO
mirrorboxerSpectatorHere’s my contribution to the discussion. Target employees are not with it. There is little communication regarding this release. I bought my copy, but it was a hassle. I couldn’t find it on the shelf after 10min of looking. The first guy I asked directed me to the Halloween section. The next guy tried to look it up on the handheld scanner (didn’t work). I had to have Guest Services look up the code
012170217
on their computer/register (till). Once they did this, they determined that it was in the back stock room. I’m assuming that most stores are in a similar position. My store only had 3 copies. Apparently every store within a 25 mile radius either got 3 copies or none. You have your choice of S/M or L/XL for the shirt and I think that it is glow in the dark. Maybe I will wear this when I take my kids out trick or treating
I hope this helps anyone trying to get a copy. The single is nice but the picture sleeve is very small.
mirrorboxerSpectatorI’ve never heard that Frodo was a fan…but that doesn’t mean that there isn’t love for TSP in Middle Earth
mirrorboxerSpectatorI enjoyed the interview, Thanks!
…and I’m with Sven. I have only a modest setup by all accounts (~$1,000) but I don’t notice any distortion or clipping or unwelcomed interference.
mirrorboxerSpectatorI can’t believe the shipping prices…that is a real put-off.
What about a mini Oceania tower that glows in the dark and has a mp3 player that plays the songs.
[/quote:1lcj3y6r]Shipping price is what did it for me. Amazon it is (as usual)
RE: mini Oceania tower…didn’t we get one of those in the first Teargarden box? It didn’t glow in the dark and there was no MP3 player. But if you think about it, it’s all coming full circle.
as an anecdote: Does anyone remember when Kerry put in the order for 2′ tall oblisk instead of 2" tall ones
mirrorboxerSpectator* The working title of ‘X.Y.U.’ was ‘Spum’. The version of ‘X.Y.U.’ that appeared on Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness was a recording of the band playing live in the studio, and both Flood and Alan Moulder were present. There were no overdubs on the album version.[/quote:1sr9vhz5]
For some reason, THIS really impresses me.
* Billy is looking for the non-distorted version of ‘Tales of a Scorched Earth’. If he can find the tape, the song might appear on the bonus disc of the Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness reissue.[/quote:1sr9vhz5]
I am torn with this news. I absolutely love this song and I’ll reserve my doubts until a later date. Worst case is I have the original that I love
* The reissue for Adore will be released on Record Store Day 2013.[/quote:1sr9vhz5]
I wonder if this will be the same as the reissue of Pisces for RSD2012
* The reissue for Machina I & II will be released by the end of 2013.
* A DVD for ‘The Final Show’ that was taped on December 2nd, 2000 at The Metro will be released as part of a reissue. [/quote:1sr9vhz5]These will likely go together and will make me one very happy man!
* When Billy gets back the rights to Zwan material from Warner Brothers, he would like to release 65 previously unreleased Zwan songs.[/quote:1sr9vhz5]
I knew there was alot, but I didn’t realize there was 65!
* A vinyl of the Stigmata soundtrack will be released by EMI.[/quote:1sr9vhz5]
…………and SOLD
mirrorboxerSpectatorThank you! Now I just need to figure out how to get this on my minidisc using Windows 7
( Did you say Boo? or Boorns? )
mirrorboxerSpectatorWell…I picked up Sigur Ros 2xLP – Hvarf/Heim but I’m still looking for the other three.
In other good news, I also got tickets for their Philly show in July.
mirrorboxerSpectatorI think the music community at large respects him and the rest of the Beasties because not only were they pioneers, but they tried to make a difference.
mirrorboxerSpectatorlooks like i’m also getting a copy of this for free, even though i didn’t pre-order anything.
i just tried to apply for the flexi with an order number i had from buying one of the digital downloads, and it worked. it’s in the mail now.
so paying for digital downloads instead of downloading them for free from somewhere else is now finally worth it.[/quote:152j775z]
Congrats! I understand the single sided orange flexi has a new song called ‘Blissed’
I hope that with 5000 copies floating around I should be able to get one fairly easily…..I hope…..

And………..done.
I can’t help but feel that it was a complete waste of my time though.
mirrorboxerSpectatorIf you’re getting two, remember that I’m in the market for one
mirrorboxerSpectatorI hope that I get one…it just won’t be directly from SPRC
On that note, does anyone want to give/sell me their order number so I can get the flexi?
mirrorboxerSpectatorThanks marigold. I’m not holding out much hope though. Not because it’s you looking, I’m just afraid everyone everywhere is sold out. Oh well, thanks just the same. I will gladly pay you if you find one though. I’ll probably end up the ebay route.
mirrorboxerSpectatorDo you mean Inni by Sigur Ros? We sometimes get UK stuff here but it depends where the band is from, or where they recorded or something.[/quote:19t4l1lc]
Sigur Ros 2xLP – hvarf/heim
Sigur Ros 10" – ekki múkk
Miles Kane 10" – first of my kind
Anywhere LP – s/t
mirrorboxerSpectatorI’m nowhere near Nashville; Pittsburgh actually. I got a almost everything I wanted from the US list. I didn’t get the Sigur Ros LP or anything from the UK list though. I picked up:
The White Stripes 7\"
Karen Elson 7\"
Arctic Monkeys 7\"
Brad 7\"
Pussy Galore 7\"
Black Angels 7\"
Death From Above 1979 LPI’m still looking for
Sigur Ros LP
Sigur Ros 10\"
Miles Kane 10\"
Anywhere LPAnyone willing to help me out?
mirrorboxerSpectatorhow many liquid 12"s are they making?[/quote:3jmpdtq6]
I don’t know for certain, but I’m assuming 150 (usually for singles). I can’t imagine that they’d press 300 or 500 (usually for LP’s) but you never know.
mirrorboxerSpectatorYour son will get over missing a soccer game. Take him along and get there now. For $100 you can own a liquid 12\" which we both know will be worth way more than that in the morning. Be sure to get the laser cut lace KE for $30. Those two will be worth your trip alone. Nevermind all the other fun you’d have.
Let me know if you hear of someone who can help me out.
mirrorboxerSpectatorThanks friend! Where are you located? I’m trying to get the Sigur Ros 10\" and the Anywhere LP. Are you able to help with those non-US releases?
