jupiterSpectatorI don’t like being someone I’m not. For example, if I have to be somebody else, in order to get a job, then why would I want to work there, if I can’t be myself?
They can take my $*%&*#$ resume and stick it up their $*%&*#$ *#$*.

DaysofthephoenixSpectatorGo for it, it never helps your self esteem if you have to pretend to be someone your not and become as fake as your employer to keep your job. Basically kissing their asses and telling them they are great to their faces just for money, I really do hate society. Sorry mine turned into a rant as well.

marigoldSpectatorthat’s a bit like trying to find a needle in a haystack – although I am sure there are a few needles somewhere – buried and forgotten in basements somewhere.

AnonymousSpectatorDefinitely be yourself, that way people can take you or leave you. The ones who leave aren’t worthwhile, the stayers probably are.

marigoldSpectatorSo, being myself finally got me a job. Have been trying to find one for 2 years, and even though it is minimum wage, it’s for an environmental organisation, who do some campaigning, policy/advisory work, organise conferences, and have a membership of all these other environmental groups (good contacts). So at least it’s some money, something to do with the environment, which is what I’ve wanted to do, and it’s a step up from what I’ve done before – as I will be sole charge of an office.
