Hi there, english is not my native language, and I’m having a difficult time figuring out what this sentence from \"Cupid De Locke\" means:

\"See the devil may do as the devil may care
He loves none sweeter as sweeter the dare\"

Could you explain this stuff in other words? Especially the \"He loves none sweeter as sweeter the dare\" part, I really can’t understand it.

      Grazie!

      I’ll give it a shot

\"the devil may do as the devil may care\"…the devil does whatever he wants. there is an american expression sometimes used to describe someone’s reckless or careless behavior towards something. example: \"that person’s devil may care attitude is gonna get him in trouble.\"

\"he loves none sweeter as sweeter the dare\"…the more evil, or mean spirited, or sinister the \"devil may care\" behavior, the better. because he’s the devil, and the devil is an asshole.
