Some time ago I received a couple of Westwood One promos. All of them are factory pressed silver cds, except one: In Concert 98-47.

This made me wonder: is my cd-r a homemade copy? Or did Westwood One start using cd-rs in 1998? I noticed that all the other promos are from before 1998, so that could be an explanation.

Anyone else owns one or more Westwood One promos? Or even better, this specific one (In Concert 98-47)?
Are they cd-rs or silver cds? Do you see a correlation between the year of the radio show and the kind of cd that is used?

      Thanks for all help.

I only have one Westwood promo. Sorry I’m not much help here. I know Arthur has many. Are these not chronicled on SPFreaks?

You can help with just the one you have.

This is how Westwood One Show #98-47 should look like. This pic wasn’t good enough for SPfreaks, now it’s maybe useful.

That’s silver, right? Is that how yours looks Cool as Ice Cream?

doesn’t look silver to me: silver cds usually don’t have letters near the hole in the middle. those are typical for cd-rs.

anyway, that’s not how mine look like. :(
