NachtkabarettSpectatorMayonaise – Thank you kindly I’m still sort of in shock, in that I cannot believe that the thing is finally launched. But that’s just the start; I have so much more on my plate, it’s ridiculous. The site will at least double in length before I’m finished.
Thanks also for the forum compliments, but it was the webmaster/Nachtkabarett owner/my brother Nick Kushner who set that up. He also did the graphic design for this website, which I find to be absolutely superb. We’re both very pleased with the end product.
manillascissor – I’m glad you like it I’m currently getting back a lot of positive reviews, which comes as a bit of a surprise, as I expected a lot more people to be negative than there actually have been thus far
NachtkabarettSpectatorI dig this place. Glad you’re finally back up
NachtkabarettSpectatorI can’t believe I’ll be at the first Black Sunshine show. Woot.
I love this limited 20th anniversary tour. It’ll be magical and special, without a doubt.
I’ll attend the Black Sunshine show, and probably purchase the White Crosses show of the following day. Or I may just purchase both.
NachtkabarettSpectatorI got that comment all the time. I took it as a compliment
I’ve just started to regrow my hair though (us Canadians have cold winters )
Though in all seriousness, I’m sure nearly anyone who shaved their head bald would look at least a little like Billy Corgan.
NachtkabarettSpectatorToronto isn’t my town…it’s about 4 hours North of where I am.
However, I’m extremely interested in this ‘no-repeated-songs’ two-night setlist concept.
My ride up may not be able to stay both days for both ‘Black Sunshine’ & ‘White Crosses’.
If I can find any possible way of attending both I will. Otherwise I’ll probably attend Black Sunshine.
EDIT: Massey Hall now has the ticket prices up for the Toronto show. General public will pay 55$ (Canadian) it seems. Not bad
NachtkabarettSpectatorOh….this is a photo album:
Me with hair:
NachtkabarettSpectatorI’ll be going to at least one of the Massey Hall performances in Toronto in November.
Gonna book my presale the second it opens up a couple days from now…
NachtkabarettSpectatorYay for bilingualism!
I’d translate it myself, but I haven’t been in a French culture for quite some time now. And my writing was always just mediocre when it came to French. Their grammar can be like pulling teeth.
NachtkabarettSpectatorAlchemy is definitely an inwards journey, and the process of self discovery is a laborious one, but the rewards are well worth it. It’s a language of rich symbolism, but you grow from every experience.

NachtkabarettSpectatorDoes SP Freaks have any premade banners? We usually like to link to fan communities.
NachtkabarettSpectatorWell, Nick kinda put up on the site that it’d be ready for October, without me knowing
So likely October. Whether early, mid, or late will be determined by how well my last little bit of work goes, and when he manages to finish up the menu and layout final touches.
I was previously telling people no later than the end of November, but I always intended to get it done in October.
In all honesty I just want it launched so that I can see the response from the fans, so that I can judge what I need to tackle next, and in what priority (because I’m far from closing the book on Machina).
NachtkabarettSpectatorlol…wow another guy being respectful…the world is changing:)[/quote:1dmiykc4]
They’re all friends, or otherwise people close to me who trusted me enough to be open with me. Their privacy is the least I can do for them
Respectfulness is important…and SP have certainly kept my blood tame and love intact.
NachtkabarettSpectatorwell there is the Manilla’s 21 and over thread? [/quote:3d8hz7mq]
Haha…ethically I can’t. I respect the girls too much.
NachtkabarettSpectatorLooks ugly as shit.
NachtkabarettSpectatorMost of the favourite photos I’ve taken aren’t really forum acceptable, sadly [/quote:2j12mgyn]
why?[/quote:2j12mgyn]
Because they’re rated R for scenes of nudity

NachtkabarettSpectatorGood to hear, all
I received some interest from some very important people as well, so the exposure may end up being considerably larger than just the word of mouth I had intended…
NachtkabarettSpectatorYou speak of her as a Dresden Doll in past tense, as though that’s over with?
As far as I know, she’s still very much in love being The Dresden Dolls. And the B-Side album \"No, Virginia…\" is less than a few months old, right? I’m sure we’ll see more of her in the future.
Between her and Ani DiFranco, I’m always beaming with girl power

Not my favourite song from her solo album. I more so dig \"Runs in the Family\" and \"Blake Says\"
NachtkabarettSpectatorAh, ok.
In other news, The Dresden Dolls have a lot of cool song names:
– Sex Changes
– My Alcoholic Friends
– First Orgasm
– Me & The Minibaretc…
The lead singer (Amanda Palmer), has always been an amusing lyricist too (check out \"Sex Changes\" some time )
Take one of her most recent songs, \"Oasis\":
when i got to the party
they gave me a forty
and i must have been thirsty
’cause i drank it so quicklywhen i got to the bedroom
there was somebody waiting
and it isnt my fault
that the barbarian raped mewhen i went to get tested
i brought along my best friend
melissa mahoney
who had once been molestedand she knew how to get there
she knew all the nurses
they were all really friendly
but the test came back positiveoh, oh, ive seen better days but i dont care
oh i just sent a letter in the mailwhen i got my abortion
i brought along my boyfriend
we got there an hour
before the appointmentand outside the building
there were all these annoying
fundamentalist christians
we tried to ignore themoh, oh, ive hadbetter days but i dont care
oasis got my letter in the mailwhen vacation was over
the word was all over
that i was a crackwhore
melissa had told themand so now were not talking
except we have tickets
to see blur in october
and i think were still goingoh, oh, ive seen better days but i dont care
oh i just got a letter in the mailoasis sent a photograph
its autographed and everything
melissa’s gonna wet herself, i swear
NachtkabarettSpectatorLonesome Organist Rapes Page Turner
…A Dresden Dolls song.[/quote:3esogev0]
Well I think I know where my friend got her baby name from
Dresden…[/quote:3esogev0]It’s quite possible. Could also be that she named it after the German city?

…A Dresden Dolls song.
NachtkabarettSpectatorI don’t want to be a dick, but the \"we only use 10% of our brains\" is actually, factually, bullshit.
We use all of our brain. Just not all of it at the same time.
NachtkabarettSpectatorI would probably pay five times as much as they’re charging, just for Gossamer :p
Lucky 13, Gossamer, Heavy Metal Machine, The Rose March, and a shit load of previously unreleased songs?
Epic win.
