      my show experience:

i had a feeling we’de be getting a bunch of covers. i didn’t know any of them, so they were good as new to me. the first song was so pretty. and billy’s solos were kick ass. i was pretty close. like maybe 7 people back. i met a nice lady while walking towards the venue, who turned out to be from chicago and apparently almost became their manager back in the day. then as we got to the entrance, i saw kerry and mark pull up in an SUV and then saw billy walking right behind me, then we walked passed linda strawberry as we walked through the doors. i think it’s so cool that you get to see the band hanging out before the show. not bad for $12. one of these days im gonna get the balls to go say hi to billy.

i hope you all have seen this video.

finally a video for into the light. this is the first song i’ve heard billy write with an off timing. in the dlf.tv vid you can hear billy saying to mike \"i can’t count so 7.\" so at the show, i was surprised to FINALLY hear a tricky one from him. im no music major, but bear with me as i try to explain…the opening riff goes 123,123,123,1234. or you could look at it as a 13/4. not super complicated, but again the first time i’ve heard a song by him that wasn’t in 3 or 4 or 6 or 8 or 12. you tool and deftones fans should get what im trying to say. im glad billy is still challenging himself. it put a smile on my face.
