BC in Paris

I just got back from Paris today and I won’t be going back for this…

He seems to be quite chuffed about this writer’s books…

Interesting: asking in several bookstores in Paris, there wasn’t a copy to be found of hers…

Still:
last night is was @ Le Club Rex, which is downstairs to Le Grand Rex where TSP played the first post-breakup show…
at that show: Le Club Rex was TSP’s backstage…
and: I totally understand why…

But:
what I’m curious about:
what’s BC’s infatuation with Paris and France and French authors (even if she’s not really any good at that…?!)…
anyone have a clue???

if Fercak is such a dear friend of BC’s, she’d provided him with a translation, right?

the first book by Fercak I found and read and it’s total rubbish and an utter literary disgrace.

i fear the worst for this one too….

and:
to be quite honest:
a very high profile publisher went along to do ‘Blinking with Fists’…
but that’s nary to the point of literary standards either…

still:
BC wil be in Paris…
BC will read from the book…
BC will even perform some music there…

so:
if you can:
please BE there!
and get us reviews and all…

I don’t get it either. I wonder if he is reading parts in English, but then, he is in Paris…. I hope someone will record it (esp. for the music).

I haven’t read Fercak’s other book, even though I would be able to understand some of it. Was never interested enough to get it. Probably not worth bothering?

I was re-reading Billy’s poetry book the other day and realising how a lot of it doesn’t make sense.

I don’t think he read from the book at all. But played some music while Claire read from it.

Also he played In the Arms of Sleep, which hasn’t been performed live since 96-97…
