As recently reported, Billy is working on some new demos for The Smashing Pumpkins but he is not alone in the studio.
Billy updated SmashingPumpkins.com with information regarding who is joining him during his current sessions. This time it is a friend, Mark Tulin, bassist for the legendary psychedelic band The Electric Prunes. See their official website at electricprunes.net.
This collaboration is bound to have an effect on the style of the current demoing process. Check out some of The Electric Prunes videos, including their most well-known hit, \"I Had Too Much to Dream Last Night below.

it would seem so, like it would come with the territory, i know they have to get tested regular (saw that on a csi once) but some stuff doesn’t show up for awhile, like aids, and what if you got some kind of std, ewwwwwwwwwwwww. those freak me out. always wear protection, all the time, always. even when you are not doing it.

yeah i like it when he sings funny things like that, he also likes the song to the show livin the low life, it is a show about low riders, also shown on speed, it is so cute. have you ever seen the show, the host vida gurerra has the best hair.

As far as I know, people don’t get std from standing next to each other on a picture.

for Zeitgeist you must know JC and BC spent quite some time in the studio and rehearsal space jamming out riffs and drums and the like-
of course (i don’t know) there might be TRUE demos on acoustic from BC or jammed demos (akin to the BGD I) or whatever from Zeitgeist-
as much as I know BC and JC – the tape’s always running, so I guess it’s all recorded-
still: I’ve heard and know and feel too !!! a lot of Zeitgeist pre-recording the album per se (which was NOT done live and per session and thus tracked et al) was done in a free-flow of inspiration-
so-
just as per BGD I I guess demos from the Zeitgeist album tracks might amount to BC and JC riffing and drumming up and down and against eachother and all of a sudden hitting a groove…
then weeks later taking THAT groove into a song…somehow-
sure-
BC DID make some \"DEMO\" scratch recordings for some tracks off of Zeitgeist-
Some others just came about- I GUESS!!!!!
But that’s it-
Following Zwan and whatever you make from that band – the free-flowing inspiration (same in TFE and/or JCC) and movement and all WAS carried on between BC and JC early on after Zwan and further more into TSP-
BUT- with ONE major difference- NOW it wasn’t to be like a collaborative effort between a band or something anymore (like the Zwan melt-down), but between just the two of them!!!! (and possible the producers et al).so-
why demo the shit out of a song?!
let’s see what happens?
that’s how the major part(s) of Zeitgeist was (were) made into what these are now…
so-
don’t expect full demos of all songs popping up soon as the method of working on material is/was kinda diferent this time around—2-
Don’t call it \"demos\" and there’s a lot in store-
From all era’s the Pumpkns have been active the tape the most of the time has been rolling on and on.

As reported earlier, Billy Corgan is currently demoing at least 5 new Smashing Pumpkins songs at an undisclosed location out in Los Angeles, California.
Justin Coloma, who has worked closely with the band on recent music videos, has sent SP.com a photo from these recording sessions.
In the photo Billy Corgan can be seen at the organ with Linda Strawberry on additional keys, Kerry Brown on percussion and what appears to be Mark Tulin on the bass. [/quote:7qdj2odt]

i’m not sure if Jeff is in yet and here is the Lisa bit from myspace/ tp.net.
After a long run of touring with the Pumpkins, it is nice to have some time to rest. Itâs amazing the little things you notice about your house when you get home from a long tour. For example, the way those dust bunnies magically reappear every morning despite how much you cleaned the day before! Moi? A neat freak? Seriously, It has been a wonderful time of reflection for me. In the last three months, I have gathered all of the tunes that I wrote on the road with the Pumpkins plus a few new ones and have started recording my solo album. It will be released this June.
Also, I am finalizing details for recording an Afro-Peruvian jazz album in NYC to be released on Saponegro Records by the end of the year. Many of you know that jazz is such a big part of my life. In 2003 and 2005, I performed at Festival de Jazz in Lima, Peru. I simply fell in love with the culture and the Afro-Peruvian rhythms. This July, I am scheduled to do a residency at Tutuma Club de Jazz in NYC. I am so excited about all of the new music to come. Stay Tuned.[/quote:2ilzfzpa]
