      Hi there,

I was 15 when this came out, and it still is one of my favourite SP records. The problem is that I was never able to get my hands at a better quality version than the 194 kbps downloads that were provided on SP.com shortly before it went down.

Being the huge fan I am, of course it would be quite amazing to own this on Vinyl. Since I gave up on the orriginal (although I highly doubt there are only 25 pressed, judging from the sealed copy Letterman was showing into the camera), is there any bootlegged LP-Version, probably sourced from FLAC or re-printed from the original Vinyl?

Or is there even a FLAC ripp with a better quality to it??

      Thx loads.

isn’t this available over at rspaa.org? try there. i believe the source is the vinyl itself.

[*:1dxvydeg]Virgin Promo rip (available at hub?, dime? anyone?)[/*:m:1dxvydeg]

I think there is also a rip done by Eric Agnew. There was a thread at Netphoria a few weeks / months ago. But not sure about that version.

      Thx loads guys. :)

However, anybody knows of a Bootlegg??

I mean, they did one for MC&tIS, right?? I bet if they would do one for Machina 2, the sales would explode. This has to exist. :(

There’s also a SPIFC rip, but I can’t find it immediately. And these two are the best two out there.

I’m just a vinyl junkie, and I came about some bootleggs in the near future. EVOL, Songs for the Deaf, Whats the Story Monring Glory, MC&tIS… So I was wondering if a Machina 2 would exist, because to me, it would be twisted but kind of logical.

*sigh* I want this so bad…

      Exactly. :)

Or, in better words: Machina 2 on vinyl, and it doesn’t matter, whether it is one of the orriginal 25 or not.

And I’m sure, a lot of people would anticipate it if this would exist.

      Funny—–

      Shit is:
I’d still have to look up which rip is the best >>>>

      it IS NOT!!! >>>>>
      – the virgin cdr promo rip
      – the spifc rip
      – the EA rip
      – the Q101 rip

I KNOW the Q101 rip was edited and bettered-
      that’s the one I play ;)

      for a vinyl cut——

just bring a copy of the best rip to yout ears to a vinyl one-of dub-plate cutter and have it done—-
      tadaa—-

that’s basically all the band ever did-
and then and there you have your vinyl copy-
to be played at best quality aroud 25 times—-
      just like the original—–

      yeah?
yeah! for real – why did you think even JC has a CDR copy of the set (to play we esteem)….????

the true M2 set can’t be played more than 25 times or something to that degree-
than it’s over and done with-

      so –
go ahead and make yourself a copy of the set on non-lacqured dub plate vinyl—-
      for max 25 plays—-

      or –
go ahead and download the best option available-
      and –
      enjoy the music –
as TSP wanted it to be ;)

      WTF – are you serious??

And what is a dub plate vinyl, where can I find it and can I pay it? I mean, from what I know, over here in the EU, pressign vinyls is.. kinda expansive. ;) And most pressers only do like 50 or so pressing, no \"single pressings\" available… from what i know. I’d love to be proven otherwise.

EDIT: OK, I looked this up, and sadly enough, I’ll rather wait for a proper boot. :( Why? Cause this shit is expansive and limited to 12 minuts playtime per side. That and I don’t really know if it is that legal.
Sill, I know that the MC Vinyl is definetely longer than 12 minutes per side, so I guess there are some shady shady canals where one might be able to press it, but to me, it is just way too expansive. Even if I could legally do M2 on a 2LP set, it would cost over 100€. Then again…

But I guess I’ll wait until somebody drops this straight from the heavens.

Also, are there scans – I mean high quality scans – of the vinyl artwork??

Also, how is the 320 kbps SP.com version in comparison to the Q101 or the Vinyl FLAC rip??

(waits for somebody to drop a rapidshare download with the best version available)

thanks for putting up the links ice cream. stupid question, the vbr zip version is more megabites because the sound quality is better? vs. the 64 kbps option

Yes, there’s a big difference. You shouldn’t waste your time on 64 kbps. That’s just way too low. The only purpose those files might have is online streaming for people with very low bandwidth.

Scans are available if you look around.

I don’t think you’ll find the high quality you’re looking for though, because the vinyl sleeves look weird. I’ve never held Machina II in my hands, but from what I’ve seen, it looks like the sleeves are wrapped in transparent tape. This will be visible in any scan, and reduce quality.
