\"The Levi’s Pioneer Sessions series, in which newer artists cover the older songs that inspired them, rolls on. This time, it’s party-starters Passion Pit giving us their version of the towering Smashing Pumpkins power ballad \"Tonight, Tonight\". There are no weeping strings or church bells on the Passion Pit version, but the group’s trademark starstruck synths are all over it. In another universe, maybe the Pumpkins’ synthpop move Adore could’ve sounded something like this.\"
