The Smashing Pumpkins will headline a three-band alternative-rock concert Sept. 26 at Qwest Arena.
The Chicago-based Pumpkins â one of the biggest rock acts of the 1990s â recently regrouped with a fresh lineup and released a hard-rocking album, \"Zeitgeist.\" Frontman Billy Corgan and drummer Jimmy Chamberlin are the lone original members.
Satellite Party, a new band assembled by Jane’s Addiction frontman Perry Farrell, will open for the Pumpkins. Consequently, Satellite Party’s previously announced concert Sept. 26 at The Big Easy has been nixed.
The night’s first band will be The Bravery, a New York-based synth-rock group.
Tickets to the 7:30 p.m. concert go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday at TicketWeb and Qwest Arena for $39.50 and $49.50.
