Im a Cult HeroSpectatorI read the watchmen, didn’t know there was going to be a movie!
The song fits the trailer so well!
Awesome graphic novel (best I’ve read anyway), hopefully the film will do it justice, though already just from the trailer I see something I have a problem withDr Manhattan (thats the glowing blue guy) is supposed to be the only person with superpowers, but you can clearly see someone else punching a hole in a wall

blueczarinaSpectatori think they always change something when the turn stuff like that into a movie.

Im a Cult HeroSpectatorYeah, I guess. The comic is also set in the 80’s not the near future, I’m still excited to see it though.
The TV show Heroes took a lot of inspiration regarding the whole human bomb and the reasons behind it from The Watchmen, so if it doesn’t completely butcher the source material this should be unlike any superhero film theres been so far -

ArthurSpectatorSome info, mainly for the webmanillasters:
I’m kinda surprised how much traffic such links can cause. We are on 1/3 of the day, and already the hit counter says \"hits today 113\". Take into consideration that on a normal day we have 25 – 50 hits in 24 hours.
Here’s an example of another forum talking about Watchmen, that is linking to us.

ArthurSpectatorWeird, on my side (NL) it works… Anyway.
Smashing Pumpkins we picked for a couple reasons. For one, I felt like in mood, it was correct for what we were trying to do. We were trying to sort of get at the unwashed masses who don’t know anything about Watchmen and find something provocative that makes you go, \"What is that?\"… And then, also, I felt like the song itself spoke a little to the \"Watchmen\" world. And then on the third hand… it will create controversy a little bit in the fanbase because they’re going to be like, \"Wait, is that going to be in the movie? That ainât 1985!\"

Im a Cult HeroSpectatorI think he means amongst The Watchmen fans, as the clip shows them that its not set in 1985 like the novel was.

\"The next question was about the Smashing Pumpkins song used in the trailer, and whether it would appear in the completed film. \"Tonally, to me, it made sense,\" Snyder said. \"Subtly, I think it also has irony, because of its lineage,\" the director said, referring to the fact the song was also used to promote \"Batman & Robin.\" He said the song would not appear in the movie \"because it takes place in 1985, the song had not been written yet.\"
