Cool As Ice CreamSpectatorI’m not impressed.
Cool As Ice CreamSpectatorstill way too expensive, especially if you see what condition it is in:
Condition: Cover is worn on all edges, including the spine (some words are missing from the spine as well). Front and back of cover are good though (see scan of front at least). I would grade the CD itself as VG+. It shows some wear but probably only from being taken in and out of the cardboard slip case since they aren’t the best for protecting CDs. The CD was tested and plays perfectly. However, since the collectible is not in the greatest shape, I will accept the best reasonable offer![/quote:192hyffa]
the two versions manilla mentions are the US and the EU release. neither of them is really rare. definitely not worth $65.

that’s a cd, not vinyl.
Cool As Ice CreamSpectator😥 i wish i could come and meet you all.[/quote:2wig5z8i]
Same feelings here. You SHOULD have been there with us.[/quote:2wig5z8i]
i really want to meet you again, without having a heavy cold.
and i’ve never met shannen, sven and milan.CRAP!
i don’t really mind not being able to see the documentary, but it’s a real shame that i won’t meet all of you.i have to go to london though. i won’t see my girlfriend for 7 weeks after that weekend.
Cool As Ice CreamSpectatori wish i could come and meet you all.
ghent is only 20 minutes away from bruges (where i live), and it’s one of my favourite cities too. i studied there for five years.
i’m going to ghent tomorrow.
Cool As Ice CreamSpectatorlol, you people.
Cool As Ice CreamSpectatoryou can watch the original trailer here: http://tickets.filmfestival.be/tickets. … =1&lang=en
Cool As Ice CreamSpectatorhaha. can you post the zip file or does it contain a virus?
Cool As Ice CreamSpectatorand I actually believed you were moving in your girlfriend
[/quote:1d19q942]
moving in his girlfriend? that’s very graphic.
Cool As Ice CreamSpectatorI see. Although I only see a lot of guessing and wondering so far, I think it’s better to wait to see the first releases to see the daylight, to judge properly. A handmade CD-R with crappy artwork is no addition to my collection either. Factory pressed stuffs is, however.[/quote:35hx759u]
this is from a month ago: http://www.countingcrows.com/index.php? … topic_3881I ordered the first 10 and am still waiting for them to arrive (but I’m in New Zealand). As far as I know they are pressed by Kufala who did the last Pearl Jam and Crowded House tours. If they are the same as these they come in a recycled cardboard slipcase with a sticker with the artwork and tracklisting on the front/back. The actual discs are printed CDRs.[/quote:35hx759u]
Yep, that’s it. I’m real disappointed now. If I’d known these were going to be CDRs I probably wouldn’t have ordered them. $20 for a CDR. Sucks. Probably not going to order anymore of them now. Packaging leaves a lot to be desired too.[/quote:35hx759u]
IF they’re from Kufala, I can give you a heads up, as I own all the Pearl Jam ones. They are top notch quality. Cardboard digipacks with a wraparound sticker with artwork and tracklisting on the back. The discs have printing on them (a picture). They don’t even really look like CDR’s. They look great.[/quote:35hx759u]
Here’s a photo of the first 9 shows:
[/quote:35hx759u]
so apparently the cd-rs aren’t just cd-rs like you would make them at home. the artwork is printed on them. (i don’t have a cd label printer, so i wouldn’t be able to do this myself.)
another thing: maybe they’ll use another company to create the cds. but i doubt it: they’ve used this one for a couple of tours of other bands as well. if not all of them.
ugh, i don’t know.
it might be best to wait until the first are released, as you suggested. INDEEDELY-DOODELY.
Cool As Ice CreamSpectatorEverybody is younger then Arthur in here. All of us are under 50, except him
[/quote:2zglg7wu]
HOW RUDE!
Cool As Ice CreamSpectatorThere’s 1 thing I don’t get here. Is this an official deal, approved by the band or Billy Corgan? And secondly, is it a high quality, professional, recording that is being sold?[/quote:3estq6t4]
of course it’s an official deal. how else would they be able to pull this off?and i’m sure it will be high quality, professional recordings. the quality could be discussed though: it’s not impossible that they try to get these out asap, not spending enough time on mixing it properly, etc.
it would be cool though if they would make a proper cd release. this is, factory pressed cds (maybe limited to 1000 or 2000 copies), and artwork/packaging that is a bit more decent than a recycled cardboard sleeve with a sticker.
http://www.pixiesmusic.com sells limited cds, and they’re factory pressed and come in a nice digipack. the nice product and the fact that it’s limited makes it ok to ask $25 for it. asking $22 for a cd-r (or two), or $18 for a flac download, seems a bit much for me…
Cool As Ice CreamSpectatori’ve changed my mind: apparently the cds you order from that website are just cd-rs, and the packaging isn’t very special either.
http://forums.netphoria.org/showpost.ph … stcount=90
i can buy the flacs for less money (or download them from somewhere else for free, who knows), and burn my own cd-rs.
Cool As Ice CreamSpectatorI’m going to pre-order all 22 cds/cd sets: http://www.livesmashingpumpkins.com
Cool As Ice CreamSpectatorUpdate: I’m 27.
Cool As Ice CreamSpectatordo i need to collect this?
[/quote:2gxtuvn7]
i think you don’t.
Cool As Ice CreamSpectatorif arthur is coming to ghent, i will be very sad that i can’t be there.
Cool As Ice CreamSpectatorit’s not expensive just because of the exchange rate. 30 euros is a lot, no matter how many dollars that is worth. it’s probably because there aren’t that many stores that will have the dvd, so the ones who do can ask a bit more.
Cool As Ice CreamSpectatorYeah saw that.Maybe they are rare, but pay that kinda of money, never evar.I will probo not own a copy of this, coz i dont collect compilation, if i got a chance to buy it very cheap i would do it.[/quote:uzqbz4i0]
it’s not just "a compilation" though. you won’t find these songs anywhere else.
there’s a cd release of this as well, since 2002 i believe. this one is a lot cheaper.also, these songs might be included in the gish box, if that ever gets released.
Cool As Ice CreamSpectatorOK… So I can understand there is a first and second pressing with the UPC# being different, but why would the second pressing have a lower number "3" and the first has an "8". Mine has a "3" and was bought in November. This leads me to believe that it is a first edition with a "3". It doesnt make sense to go down. It would be like Trent starting at Halo 25 and his next release be Halo 24, doesnt make sense. Also with respect to all Hut issues they go up in numbers.[/quote:2jsdy7m1]
don’t just look at the last number. the entire release code is different.also, i didn’t read the last posts good enough. as far as i know, the second pressing was US only. there’s only one pressing with the UK release code.
Cool As Ice CreamSpectatoryou guess?
i think that’s quite a good guess.
Cool As Ice CreamSpectatori must add though, that if i wasn’t in london that weekend, i’d probably try to go see it both nights.
oh well.
Cool As Ice CreamSpectatori planned a trip to london that weekend, because my girlfriend leaves on a 6-week trip through south-america. bad timing, but this is slightly more important than seeing the documentary one month before everyone else.
i’m not the person to write long reports anyway.
Cool As Ice CreamSpectatoryou’re welcome.
Cool As Ice CreamSpectatorthey look very real to me.
