I finally framed some of my LPs and mounted them on the wall. Three SP (or SP related) appearances! My apologies for the glare. I bought Adore in 1998. Gish is one of the recent pressings, and Out of Our Minds is part of a deluxe package. Those two are still sealed.

absolutely LOVE how the background images show that ‘moment’ in the video, really well done![/quote:1e88sg8u]
After I have overcome my jealousy, I fully agree. This frame really does justice to the guitar. A collectors’ piece to be really proud of. Well done, Geo, you’ve got taste.[/quote:1e88sg8u]

Agreed… that is absolutely stunning. Do you also have Melissa’s bass?

Here’s Tristessa in the frame – it came as a kit (!) and the pre-cut mat is a little bit smaller than the record and sleeve… so I’m going to take it to a craft store to get the mat cut, or put one of my Auf Der Maur records in this frame and get frame for Tristessa from a different (and more expensive) manufacturer with an assembled frame and sleeve for the record.

hi, firecrasher. i remember you from blamo. and didn’t i meet you in london once?[/quote:3qvk7qvy] November 2009 on Brick Lane? If so, yes! I believe there is a photo on Facebook. I am the shortest. :D[/quote:3qvk7qvy]
yes, we had a curry on brick lane.
    i’m not on facebook though.

what exactly is the alternate tafh box and ad (from best buy?) you’re talking about?[/quote:3qvk7qvy]

The alternate box is (what I now know is) the prototype box. I swear that I saw it in an ad for TAFH when it first came out in ’96; I remember going to Best Buy to buy it and being disappointed that the box wasn’t the one with the little SP symbols on it. I’m not sure if I ever posted on Blamo about it. I was shocked to see that box on here… it confirmed that I haven’t been crazy for the past 15 years and it really does exist! Next time I get in the attic I will check and see if I saved a copy of the ad with the rest of my SP clippings.

Hi everyone. I’m thrilled to find this community! I’ve been telling people about the alternate TAFH box (and accompanying ad with the box – I think it was Best Buy?) for years, but no one has ever believed me. When I stumbled across it on here, it made my day.

My MADM "Taste You" purple vinyl 7" arrived from England a few minutes ago just before I packed up my scanner, so I sent that over to you all as well.

You’re welcome! LPs are too big for my scanner – are photos acceptable?

Scanning smaller items for submission as we speak.[/quote:3rbq4xcf]

not really. scan the record in 4 parts. send all to the email and i can merge them. just place the record in each corner, rotating 90 degrees each time. (when i say each corner, i mean leave a bit of space [1/4"] for buffering purposes), on both laterals.

if not possible, just send photos. again, thanks.[/quote:3rbq4xcf]

Scanned and sent… let me know what you think, or if you need a re-do (or if it’s just hopeless and I should get a photo). It’s still shrink-wrapped.

I don’t – I have a few LPs in craft store frames, and a framed MCIS poster, but I am getting some quotes on dual 7" frame for Tristessa so both the sleeve and record are visible. If you’d like, I can post the finished product on here when it’s complete.

The wildest thing I’ve seen framed is Melissa’s smashed bass from the Everlasting Gaze video. Amazing!

Tristessa 7" pink marbled vinyl just arrived from Discogs on Saturday. And now to purchase a frame![/quote:12qjc7sn]

do you frame everything? i wish i could afford that.[/quote:12qjc7sn]

I have it – please let me know how to submit items and I will (I’m new here!). I picked it up for $25 last year at a record shop in Baltimore.

    Thanks!
