[/quote:ifzrymfg] , allegedlyi would say the first month was really tough. he had a really big tumor on his chest that affected his ability to walk, eat, and drink. his last day was really sad, i layed with him on the floor all day till my mom got home, and then we took him to the vet. i’ve always had dogs in my life, so unfortunately, i have a lot of experience with this. and his sister is still with us, so in a way, that made it a little easier. i can always talk to her about her brother.
and you had your cat for 15 years, which is a big plus or minus, depending on how you look at it. you got to have a lot of time to make great memories with him, but the goodbye is gonna be extra tough. hang in there ayoe. sending you a hug from 5000 miles away.[/quote:jp80xkms]
Im so sorry to hear this Brandon.They cant give youre pet a kemo treatment, like we humans can get, when they have tumor, there is sadly nothing to do about it.My moms cat (Elisa) died 4 years ago, she had breast cancer, she was only 7 years old.

As Rome Burns [6]he won it because of the things he has said he wants to accomplish. (peace in the middle east, green energy, healthcare reform, etc.) and you can tell he didn’t want it, nor do i think he is deserving of it. yet. you shouldn’t win the award based on what you want to accomplish. i think it should be merited on actual accomplishments.
some stuff i heard yesterday about the process: you aren’t able to nominate yourself, and there are certain types of people who meet the criteria for being on the nomination and voting panel. i heard a whole list of those types of people, but i can only remember them mentioning dignitaries and heads of state, and scholars and academics that are highly regarded from around the world. and we don’t get to find out who the other nominees were until 2059. the rules state that you have to wait 50 years before releasing the other nominees names.

almost exactly 1 year ago, on a sunday night, i had to go to the vet and put my dog to sleep. (my avatar) and i had work the next day, and was completely numb. it was a terrible day. for a while, you’re gonna think about him every day. time will help ayoe. you’ll see him again someday.
