\"the difference between medicine and poison is the dose\" by circa survive. it got me through a real tough time a couple years ago.

Move one inch at a time, don’t make shit rhyme
Would it be easy to repeat the first line?
my mind’s not a well, it won’t run dry
just keep drinking water and you’ll be alright
this is paralysis, with no time at all to let go

Well, don’t call me by my full name
    and all this is temporary
it feels much better to know that you won’t feel a thing
well don’t talk about it, write it down, but don’t ask for help
i can’t be honest with even myself
did you ever wish you were somebody else?

    accomplishments are transient
    they pull me in unremittingly
    just lasting this long
i feel relieved to let repetition save me

Well, don’t call me by my full name
    and all this is temporary
it feels much better to know that you won’t feel a thing
well don’t talk about it, write it down, but don’t ask for help
i can’t be honest with even myself
did you ever wish you were somebody else?

Move one inch at a time, you’ll be just fine
Move one inch at a time, you’ll find they pull me in
    but accomplishments are transient
    they pull me in
    but accomplishments are transient

well don’t call me by my full name
    and all this is temporary
it feels much better to know that you won’t feel a thing
well don’t talk about it, write it down, but don’t ask for help
i can’t be honest with even myself
did you ever wish you were
did you ever wish you were
did you ever wish you were somebody else?

have you guys heard the remastered mp3 version of wwmm from the hollywood spirits show? i think that performance, and audio, really captures this song at its best. you can hear how caught up in the moment everyone is. the performance seemed so effortless. (once they eventually got the song goin) i’m just not loving, but am satisfied with, how these first 2 tracks are translating from the studio. i think, and this is just my stupid opinion, that he might be trying too hard to make these into "pumpkin sounding" songs. maybe over analyzing things. like there’s too many elements to the songs. not so much in sfas. that song is dramatic and has many ups downs and was written with alot of elements in mind. (hope that makes sense) i mean more so in wwmm. i’m really missing the acoustic guitar as being the centerpiece of the song. the song seemed more powerful and meaningful to me with an acoustic. i kinda feel these first two songs don’t have as much of an organic vibe as i was hoping for. but i guess that’s to be expected a little bit when translating from a live performance to a studio recording. the studio renditions have basically remained structuraly the same as they were first introduced to us, but i feel like they were just a bit overdone. one example is the keyboard breakdown part at the 4:04 mark in sfas. im referring to, in my opinion, that almost video game sounding tone he went with. i don’t really love it. i think the way lisa played it in 08” sounded better. i think it was a better effect and rhythm. and i also like that sfas was played at a slower tempo in 08”. again, just me rambling here. there’s still 42 songs to go. and there are so many songs to look forward to. and i still like how these songs turned out. i think they came out beautiful. i just hope some of the many more to come are a bit more stripped down. sorry for the rant.[/quote:17tfyley]

i dont like what i wrote.

it does. thanks rose. im finding that you’re only going to be as happy/enthusiatic about life as you allow yourself to be. the potential is in everyone.[/quote:2o7ixszq]
i can understand that… i think for me, i keep telling myself it will get better one day, so it doesn’t get better today. maybe i should tell myself that it is better now, but then again if i think this is as good as it gets then i get depressed again. lol. i think i bring my own vicious circle on myself and i can’t break out. it’s kinda funny when i sit back and look at it from a distance. but it’s not so funny when i am right in the middle of it. am i making any sense?[/quote:2o7ixszq]

fuck yeah you’re making sense. my goal is trying to stay on the positive side of that vicious cycle, and trying to always be sitting back and looking at reality from a distance. when i do that, i’m a happier person. i feel like i’m living. when i’m caught up in the middle of it, which is how i’ve always been, and struggle with everyday….everything is fucked.

how does one acquire enthusiasm about life’s daily events?[/quote:1sm9nsi3]

that’s a good question… i wish i could help you with that, but i feel the same way sometimes. just knowing that you are not alone might help a little…[/quote:1sm9nsi3]
