I honestly hadn’t noticed. Although I listened to the remastered versions only once so far. I will have to check it out again.

I think you maybe right about it being a result of the remastering and remixing.

Even though I wasn’t a fan on Puff Daddy’s \"Perfect\" remix, I am interested in hearing how this one turned out. I remember Billy insisting that the \"Ava Adore\" remix would change everyone’s opinion of Puff Daddy-eliciting eye rolls from D’arcy lol (during the Much Music I&I in 1998). So I guess we will see soon enough who was right .
