i know! who would have thought innovation was possible with vinyl?

this type of spirit should be introduced to the political realm.

Derek, you’re not far from Nashville! Go get those vinyls!

Those balloons/vinyl will probably end up in some tree or lake or something…

you can track the recoveries made thus far. a whopping 2 on the day after. ;)

not an april fool’s joke either. looks like they released 1000 into the air, of which 10% are expected to be recovered.

i’ll be sure to keep my eyes peeled for shredded blue balloons while hunting for easter eggs.

Some of them reached southern Tennessee!

The wind needs to blow them in an easterly direction, rather 8)

as far as i can tell, there are about 90% less of these (recovered anyway).

i wonder how much a golden sp obelisk that fell from the sky would be worth?

The liquid vinyls are going for ridiculous prices.

At least this guy was honest about the vinyl playing issues – that is if you would want to play a vinyl that cost that much….

good for him/her. the liquid bouncing around seems to make a lot of sense, but something tells me JW & Co. already took this into consideration and it is possibly that particular person’s record player…

They may have also considered it and thought ah well people are just going to collect it for the ‘art’ 8)

For those of you who don’t know yet: I won the Blunderbuss album in a radio competition and am in the draw to go and see Jack White at the Fuji Rock Festival. Wish me luck!!! (1 in 50 chance)

also Radiohead and James Iha are playing there.

he seems to keep going back and forth from London/Europe and the US for now:

I just checked the balloon site again. A whole bunch landed in the same place near Tuscaloosa.

also \"we found your balloon this evening in our pasture\" :)
