New SPfreaks Contest: Taking Ideas

Hello Freaks!

It’s about time for another contest. We’ve had two in the past, with great participation and wonderfully creative submissions. Thanks again to all that participated.

We are looking for suggestions for another contest. The contests usually relate to the Smashing Pumpkins and involve creativity, personal influence, and an end product that can be judged within the confines of predetermined requirements.

Also, the previous prizes were rare Smashing Pumpkins releases, donated by various webmasters.

So, if you think you have the next great idea, please share! The more, the better!

Themed playlists! Just compile a bunch of SP songs into a playlist centring around a personally chosen theme!

I think that’d be fun purely for allowing users to listen to SP, but with a distinct twist. Or something like that. Whatever, it’s fun.

this sounds neat. the design a single one was pretty cool.

i like the idea of something that involves some kind of artwork maybe- like design a fake SP gig poster for the next tour or maybe do the themed playlist, but it has to be presented in some creative format that helps reinforce the theme visually. i don’t know what we could do, but i like something that involves poster art/ graphic design type stuff.

i like that idea too, a poster would be cool. oh two good ideas. maybe we can do one now, and then one later. i like both. or maybe you have to do a playlist and then also do a poster to go along with it, like a set list with poster.

i was thinking that too. you could combine the setlist with the poster. it could be like a playbill type thing. you have the poster part promoting the SP and then a playlist of themed songs incorporated into the design.

All required, if it was to me. Just my idea. manillascissor decides. And yes, make it 2, maybe 3 months I guess.

I worked pretty much all day until 1:30 a.m.
And got up at 7:30 a.m. to do more. It’s so hard for me to choose if I want to enhance my paintings with Gimp or leave em…oh the choices..It is fun though!
