On behalf of the entire SPfreaks team, we would like to announce our cooperation with http://www.smashingpumpkins.com. We have received word that the band’s official site will be participating in the judging of the entries. The PMM has also agreed to promote the contest on their site in the near future.
Hopefully, this increased focus and attention will bring in more people to participate in the contest. Therefore, we have decided to extend the contest to October 15th, 2008. We need a minimum of 20 entries to make the $500 prize, so keep those submissions coming. We haven’t reached 20 yet, but are well on the way.
Please join in thanking Arthur, as he has spearheaded this campaign to work with http://www.smashingpumpkins.com. I’d also like to take this opportunity to extend our deepest thanks to the PMM. They have been very helpful and openminded with this contest.
There may be one more surprise to come in the future, one of which will be very special to the winner. The potential surprise is not official yet, so we will keep a lid on it for now.

Well yesterday i came with an idea and at the end i was so happy with myself !
I think this has benn a kind of terapy for me… so i don’t have to win the prize because i already won something !And congratulations Spfreaks, i really wish that this contest will bring another pumpkin fans to this wonderful site.

I wanted to bring in elements of the past, that doesn’t mean it’s just a carbon copy or a copy n paste job. Here is one of my preliminary sketches before I hit Photoshop.

My flier however is completely original. Hand drawn and inked and colored in PS.

I thought it literally was just a copy paste idea…but now I see different. I actually have been looking at it quite a bit and I like it-I know their is a lot of text on it, but I like the way you put in the cities..it’s pretty cool that way..I’m a fan -

I originally had it up by the guitars, and I really liked it there, but you couldn’t make out the text when the poster was in a smaller size. Sometimes I wish I would have left it there
