DanniSpectatorYeah Arthur,
It’s bizarre that it even went for $133 US!
Even I can tell by the autographs this one is not real.
DanniSpectatori personally don’t really care about autographs. especially if you buy them. what’s the point of that? if i ever met them, and they would sign something, then yeah, ok, maybe. but buying an autograph someone else received? no, thanks.
i also dislike people who go to concerts and whatnot, just to get stuff signed, with the intention to sell them on ebay. they are worthless people.[/quote:3odd2sal]
On that level I completely agree on what you say.
It ain’t special if I haven’t got the item signed in person. And yes, to get them signed only to sell them is crappy indeed.
The funny stuff is the story behind the actual signings. Also I just don’t understand people who just get something signed and just runs away from the person signing it.
Many of the times I’ve asked the artist to just draw something nice instead. Usually they get very surprised when asking that. I just wanna bring out the creativity. Enough said.
DanniSpectatorDefinately. Although the B-letter in Billy looks somewhat real, other that that, yes it looks fake.
And certainly this one although it went for $133 US:
DanniSpectatorI can agree to that.
The one thing I noticed is that it says Billy Corgan. Usually that era Billy used to write \"Billy 1993 (or whatever year) followed by a star? This is just one thing that crossed my mind.
I just haven’t seen a lot where it says Corgan also, but I guess that also happened.
DanniSpectatorAnd what would you guys say about this one?
DanniSpectatorThanx Artie! That’s great stuff!
I always loved good old surf but I kinda’ think of the Beach Boys as a bit too lame and that they don’t fit that category very well. Dick Dale is more like my cup of tea!
Also check these out if you like surf music (and their Jazzmaster’s are so sweat, with the block inlays and bindings… grrr….
), here are the danish band The Tremolo Beer Gut!

PS. Also check out The Surfaris!
DanniSpectatorI found mine on eBay a few years ago, and I just HAD to have it![/quote:1hh37u57]
You know, I would completely die for that one. I just love the gothic feel of it.
But I bet it costed a fortune? Also: Sven’s article was totally great!
DanniSpectatorPumpkins, Catherine AND The Chainsaw Kittens!?
Wow, this would’ve been pure heaven for me. These are my three favourite bands.
But guys, where did you get these posters, Artie and Blueczarina?
DanniSpectatorYup, Ayoe.
This must be, right?
The cover looks cheap, the OBI seems very peculiar.

The back.
This is an interesting monologue between me and me.
DanniSpectatorNo, it seems to be genuine.
$90 US.

I think that’s included on my Top 5 SP songs.
DanniSpectatorThis one is the latest one I got:

Back.
DanniSpectatorHers’s some of the other shit I collect(except SP) , and these ones are the ones I recently bought:
DanniSpectatorHello and welcome onboard.
All the cool people are indeed here.[/quote:b8shu5f5]
Yeah, I mean, look at me.
DanniSpectatorHi.
DanniSpectatorI’d call these 1 pink, 2 peach, 3 maroon/purple.[/quote:35xcjum0]
I can see why one would call these pink, peach and maroon/purple.But I think it creates a lot of confusion. Let’s take that "pink" one. Surely, if you own this, and you’d have to describe the colour, you’d say pink. But then if someone says to me "I have a pink Siamese Dream", I’ll think about a different colour: the really light pink one.
Your "pink" one seems to belong to that "red" family. (See my first post.)
Maroon/purple: I think right here there’s another point of confusion. What is maroon? What is purple? Apparently maroon can mean quite a range of colours. I personally thought maroon is red-brown (like the labels on the vinyl), but that doesn’t mean this is the one and only correct definition.
Look at honeymade’s copy, for example: I’d call one of those two vinyls maroon. And I think it looks very different from the purple vinyl.Your "peach" copy: not sure if this is the same as my peach one (and the peach one of mr. benway), or if it’s closer to my orange copy that has some white and red mixed in. The picture isn’t clear enough.
Once again, maybe people think of a different colour when they hear "peach". (I think of the colour of the Rocket 7", which has always been called peach. Right?)I think it would be interesting to agree on a way to name the SD vinyl colours.
For example, when we discuss the different pressings, it would be nice if we could all be thinking of the same colours if someone mentions peach or pink.
Do you guys agree, or do you think this is a bit over the top/not care at all?[/quote:35xcjum0]No, no. I think you might be on to something right here. So the sharp pink vinyl might be the "red" one? Yeah, that might be accurate. This is causing me some confusion though.
DanniSpectatorrefused – the shape of punk to come (or something like that)[/quote:2xr6x7gk]
That one is great. Dennis Lyxzén & co. Also Songs To Fan The Flame Of Discontent is great.
DanniSpectatorPlacebo with their debut album (1996- Oh, it’s a classic!) as I just bought the cd+dvd version of it new for only $6 from a record shop in Sweden as they are having a campaign right now. Plus Therapy?’s One Cure Fits All (2006) and I’m glad that they are back in the game again!
They’ve been wery wry since 1999-2000 but I’m glad that they are making great music again. Hasn’t yet listened to Crooked Timber though…
2006 was a freakin’ great year in music – Pearl Jam, Juliana Hatfield, Lemonheads and Helmet. Many of these bands made their greatest albums in 2006.
Coincidence?
I don’t know.
DanniSpectatorYeah, agreed. But I always try to have a maximum of 20 items in the watchlist otherwise it gets too messy and confusing.
DanniSpectatorI’ll see if I’ll use the Firefox. My girlfriend uses a thing called Safari. Anyone familiar with that?
Thanx for the advice anyway.
DanniSpectatorhere’s one that ended earlier this morning. it was $6.99 up until a couple hours before the auction ended. i thought this one was gonna be mine.

Had that one in my "Watchlist" also.
DanniSpectatorI don’t know but THIS one looks kinda’ red to me:

DanniSpectatorI’m starting to get f***ing tired of this I say. I cant read the \"News\" on http://www.smashingpumpkins.com as it doesn’t work no more in my browser. Aaah. Together with every computer sold there should be a free psychologist.
DanniSpectatorI am seriously considering becoming a Mew collector. They are such a great band, not so old as to be overwhelming, with a really weird but wonderful sense of aesthetics meaning their releases always look really good. Also, they rival the mighty SP in terms of b-sides, in both quality and relative quantity![/quote:38gnoac6]
Superlord, yeah, the danish Mew definately has their moments. I like the Frengers album but also that track "Why Are You Looking So Grave?" featuring my great god of all times: J Mascis (Dinosaur Jr – the best band ever) from their 2005 release "…..And The Glass Handed Kites". Other than that I haven’t listened too much to Mew.
