DanniSpectatorAn interview with the great and beautiful Nina Gordon as she has this William Corgan/Metallica story. This is always funny to watch. How come I wasn’t surprised by William’s statement?

DanniSpectatorSuffragette City is totally awesome. One of the best songs ever written. By mankind.
DanniSpectatorSP: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi … 0344214622
and a Veruca Salt American Thighs pink marbled vinyl:
DanniSpectatorPlus they are in the Vieuphoria movie (who DOESN’T know?)
AND: on Pearl Jam’s Immortality cd-single the b-side is The Frogs covering PJ’s song Rearviewmirror. I’m looking forward to seeing them in Sweden (like that’s gonna happen, swedes generally wouldn’t know good music if it came up and bit them in the ass…
)
Just to partly quote Frank Zappa there .
DanniSpectatorI can’t understand why The Frogs aren’t on the Collection List when even people like that Angela Aki is?
The Frogs are a tremendiously underrated and great band and has performed several times both WITH the Pumpkins and opening for them (as well as Jane’s Addiction, Pearl Jam and Mudhoney) and it is known that Billy Corgan even produced the Starjob EP (even released then on D’arcy’s and James Iha’s Scratchie Records) from 1994 for The Frogs under the pseudonym Johnny Goat. So please, will you add The Frogs?
DanniSpectatorOooh, there’s that tape I wanted to bid on.
Congrats Manilla, that’s a neat ‘lil tape you’ve got there.
DanniSpectatorWell, I think it’s definately worth that amount of money, $200 US. Various prices can be seen on http://www.popsike.com/php/quicksearch. … loyd+pulse ….. But that page is not 100 pct reliable though. But I guess $200 is a fair price. Then again, I’ll have to see what it lands on in the closing seconds.
DanniSpectatorThere is no mentioning of a physical release like CD, so I’m gone I’m afraid. The part "Iâm also looking at including an extremely limited tangible item that would make it worthwhile to subscribe if you were a collector." is interesting though, as it might include an item that might be physical, but it’s not enough for me.
That means, I will not subscribe. I have just written that to Frank also. I’m VERY disappointed!
[/quote:1pmdnpl2]
I’m completely with you there in fact, Arthur. The only way that could ever work is to have a fairly low price on the subscription and not that $300 US that there was some talk about. Although that price COULD have just been an idea. I just don’t know about this either. As stated before, the Pearl Jam Ten Club is really worth looking at as an example in this case, I might think.
DanniSpectatorI can’t help but still wondering what cost the subscription thing will end on.
DanniSpectatorIndeed it is.
You going to bid Daniel ?[/quote:2gilm5wi]Oh, I’ll see in the ending hours/minutes how much the price will rise. The vinyl is really cool, the show (at Earls Court, London 1994) is totally mindblowing. A must-have for a Pink Floyd fanatic as me!
DanniSpectatorOh my god, oh my god, oh my god!!
I want this one; http://cgi.ebay.com/Pink-Floyd-Pulse-UN … 7C294%3A50 I want it fucking badly.
DanniSpectatorIsn’t My Dahlia somewhat romantic?
DanniSpectatorHere’s a signed (?) one:
DanniSpectatorYeah, I agree with you Ayoe. I couldn’t possibly afford this right now either. Hope that somebody here gets it though. So what would you think this will go for? Any guesses?
DanniSpectatorJikes, I just watched a programme about John Lennon and the american authorities. They showed the films of people who during the Beatles boycott in America in 1966, destroyed all of their old records and things like that in a giant bonfire. Stupidity I say. I almost cried blood, thinking about how much those records would be worth today!
All just because the statement of The Beatles VS Jesus.
DanniSpectatorRöyksopp’s new album ‘Junior’ is so good.
Go listen to it. It’s kinda like Daft Punk, just so you know.[/quote:cfesjdm1]
Röyksopp’s pretty good. They are from norway. You should listen to their debut Melody A.M from 2001, That’s a great album. Eple is great. I think Karin Dreijer from The Knife sings on What Else Is There.
DanniSpectatori just got one of those cute little red 1979 cardsleeve promos for $6.[/quote:18dofywd]
He, he, that’s the one I bid on too, a few seconds before the auction was over. My bid was $6 US but didn’t make it. Congrats anyway Blue, that’s one hell of a cool promos.
I actually only have BWBW (the purple one) but I do plan to get all of those at some point.
DanniSpectatorYeah, poor lap-top. I’m lucky my cat hasn’t done that yet, although it vomits a lot. I think she just don’t know when to stop eating…. aah, cats..
Yeah, now I’ve ordered that Jane’s box set! It’s sooo cool, really! I wish that the Pumpkins would’ve done something like that, too. Thanks Rosie for the link.
DanniSpectatorJust bought this month’s issue of Mojo Music Magazine (one of the few readable music magazines in 2009) and it features a great big Pearl Jam special. Also John Lennon and so on. Great interview.
DanniSpectatorJane’s Addiction – A Cabinet Of Curiosities 3-cd + dvd box set – Limited Edition wooden cabinet
I want this sooo badly. This has been an expensive month so far. Should I buy it? I’m a great Jane’s fan.
DanniSpectatorI just saw that on eBay
DanniSpectatorYup, do so. You’re welcome.
DanniSpectatorAha! \"\"Discs aren’t original pressing\"! And me, I’m just blind.
But c’mon 103 bucks for homemade stuff is quite something. The seller is the winner.
DanniSpectatorYup, that must be right, IceCream. I know that P3 Live has on the other and aired some concerts from both Copenhagen, DK, as well as Oslo, Norway. They used to have 1h (I think) live performances every evening with various artists, and great sound quality.
So that concert was already available, eyh?
DanniSpectatorSorry about track #7, it’s Zero not BWBW.
