Honeymade OpiateKeymasterName some albums that are (to you) perfect in everyway, from first track to last track. Here’s some of my submissions: No particular order except Siamese Dream, which is my fav record of all time.
Smashing Pumpkins – Siamese Dream
White Zombie – Astrocreep 2000
Far – Water and Solutions
Radiohead – OK Computer
Queen – A Night at the Opera
Led Zeppelin – First Album
Rush – Moving Pictures
Genesis – A Trick of the Tail and Self-Titled
Rage Against the Machine – Self-Titled
Nirvana – Nevermind (Kurt said this was produced too \"slick\", but I still love it)
Deftones – AdrenalineAll pretty standard stuff, which I’m sure most of you have heard. But IMO, these albums are perfect. No flaws, no filler. Like the artist(s) knew exactly what they wanted to convey and did so as an artistic acme of their catalogs. I love these albums!!!

SuperlordspamulonSpectatorSP – MCIS
SP – Adore
My Chemical Romance – I brought you my bullets, you brought me your love (this was back when they were still an unknown, underground band – this record is dark and oh-so good)
Emperor – in the nightside eclipse
Emperor – Prometheus: the discipline of fire and demise
Cradle of Filth – Vempire (or dark faerytales in phallustein)plus some of the ones you mentioned
thats my list -

manillascissorKeymasterWhat kind of music is Emperor and Cradle of Filth? Death metal? Never heard of those two.

well emperor is… cradle of filth have an extremely tongue in cheek attitiude to it (asked in an interview with fans how vocalist Dani Filth trains his voice, he replied "continuous masturbation. i’m masturbating right now. this is a polystyrene arm" ) -

ArthurSpectatorMy contribution. As I’m fond of a few styles of music, and love both live and studio albums, the list is a bit mixed. See if you like it also, I’ll explain the unknown bands/albums a bit.
-Smashing Pumpkins – Siamese Dream. #1, no doubt.
In no particular order:
-Rainbow – Rainbow on stage (my very first CD in the 80’s, still a huge favourite)
-Sepultura – Roots
-Urban Dance Squad – Life ‘n perspectives of a genuine crossover & Hollywood Live, Pinkpop Live (promo EP) (dutch rap/rock inspiration to RATM)
-Uriah Heep – Live January 1973
-16 Horsepower – whole catalogue (my #2 band after the Smashing Pumpkins)
-Dead Kennedys – Fresh fruit for rotting vegetables (early 80’s USA punk, defined my rebellish youth)
-Deep Purple – Shades of Deep Purple & Made in Japan
-Rage Against The Machine – Rage Against The Machine
-The Scorpions – Fly to the rainbow (1st outing of the Scorpions)
-The Music – The Music (shocking good UK electronic rock)
-Gary Moore – We want Moore!
-Led Zeppelin – The song remains the same & The BBC sessions
-Kobus gaat naar Appelscha – All smooth faces in a fantasy world (local ’80s dutch funpunk band)
-Nirvana – Hormoaning & Nevermind
-Kiss – Alive & Alive II (defined my love for rock music)
-Massive Attack – Mezzanine
-September Malevolence – Tomorrow we’ll wonder where this generation gets it’s priorities from (scandinavian progrock)
-Nuggets & Nuggets II (huge compilation on 8 CDs of early ’60s rock/punk/garage music. To me the definitive source of all today’s loud music)
-Tin Machine – Tin Machine
-Reboelje – Simmersnie EP (frisian alternative rockband, #3 after SP and 16HP)
-Anouk – Anouk is alive (dutch rock singer)
-Pink Floyd – Meddle & Live at Pompeii
-Noir Desir – Des vigases des figures (french alternative rock, #4 after SP, 16HP and Reboelje)
-Stevie Ray Vaughn – Texas Flood & Live at The El Mocambo
-The Nits – Hat (dutch alternative pop band, the band I’ve seen live the most times so far)
-Muse – AbsolutionNext to SP I’m a collector also of 16 Horsepower, Reboelje and Noir Desir. Reboelje collection is complete, as they stopped playing a few years ago and released only around 20 albums and singles. There are also 2 songs I just need to mention here.
-Hallo Venray – Tuck, the man (dutch alternative band, my life anthem, about loving a girl)
-Accept – Son of a bitch (my middlefinger to you all out there )I stop now, as a few more albums and songs pop up in my mind. That’s it for the moment!

*note – you’ll want to listen to their 2,3 and 4th albums. they’re by far their best, and the later stuff… well… sucks.

I know what you mean BleedingTheOrchid. Muse and The Music both have this tiny bit too much electronics. Somehow. Somewhere. Smoothened up or something. However I do like that rollercoaster of rock taking me higher on speedy guitars, pretty good drums and a squeeky voice very much! And as with Billy’s texts, they are writing intelligent rocksongs. Kinda. Somehow. Somewhere. Well, anyway, just my taste. Hard to explain. -

MarcellaSpectatorI love Radiohead, even though I still have to hear all of their stuff. Until now, there hasn’t been a song I don’t like. Thom Yorke’s voice is like a drug to me. It can relax me and intrigue me like no other.

Hey, glad to see Richard D. James in some lists -
2009.01.20 at 8:53 pm #2951
AnonymousSpectatorI suppose I’ll go for Rammstein’s releases. Each flows along flawlessly from song to song and imho they’re all swish standalone tracks, also.
The same for Filter, although imho some acoustic tracks don’t quite ‘flow’ with the befores and afters.
Something completely unpredictable… Gish: Flow – flow – flow.

Doubtful-DellaSpectatorThere are only a few albums that I never skip around… any of these albums, as soon as a song comes to it’s close I already start singing the next track. There are tons of SP songs that I do that too, but not as much as these four

Cartel (it’s a white album cover…I got it at a concert where they opened for New Found Glory)
No Doubt-Return of Saturn
Neutral Milk Hotel-The Aeroplane over the Sea -
