there are so many connections to this number, it’s unreal. here’s what i found interesting and billy-esque:
– number of constellations in the sky
– approximate number of days for mercury to complete one orbit
– heavily tied to luck in china
– means hugs and kisses when using ham radio
– number of keys on a piano
– the square of 88 is 7744. i find that endlessly amusing, if you’re into palindromic numbersthe two highlighted connections relate to the sky, kind of the whole point of the song title, no?

the code on the sleeve of the 7\" is different than that of the release. i’ll correct that later. too tired of it right now.

depending on where you live, i’d expect up to (perhaps) 10 copies per store. like a major metropolitan area. i went around eastern tennessee. not super populated areas, but i found four targets!
i think the reason they have no idea is because it is being released the day their inventory list comes out. so tomorrow, they will know. that’s just a bizarre guess though. two guys checked their paper inventory lists, neither one had it on there.
you may want to just reach out to someone in a more remote area, like me. they’ll only have 3 copies or whatever, but hey, you can buy em all!
again, there could potentially be MANY more on the way. it’s impossible to know just yet. the guy with one said to check back monday. so i will.
i guess my advice is, if you don’t get one tomorrow, just keep checking back. you never know. they obviously don’t.good luck!

Has anyone actually called Target regarding this release? My gf is from LA and she still has friends there that could get us a copy, so I have been trying to call stores in the LA area. I called a few the other day and they had no idea what I was talking about. One guy was so confused he suggested I speak to the seasonal department, think I was talking about actual Pumpkins or decorations lol.
The other day, the West Hollywood store claimed they weren’t getting it and I should call back Tuesday. Well we called back today instead and they informed us that Target stores never got vinyl, that they would have thought that sort of thing would be online only. So I don’t know what’s going on.

"i’ll check in the back, but…"walks out with 3 everytime. you had to be EXTREMELY persistent tonight. tomorrow, i’m sure they will be all over the shelves. each location (i visited 3) only had 3 MAX. the last one only had one. so if you want one tomorrow, go early.
secondly, this doesn’t mean more aren’t coming in. but with only 3, i don’t know man, seems pretty limited. i was able to get 6 copies plus one for myself, as promised. more information to be dispatched on monday regarding payment/shipping.
all copies i have come with a L/XL shirt. no variables.
IMPORTANT MESSAGE UPDATE:
I don’t have enough money to SHIP these items. Plus, some countries I will need to require registered shipping, because otherwise, there is no guarantee. Matter of fact, registered would be nice on all of these international orders, but I’ll leave that up to each individual person.
Point being, expect some sort of \"bill\" on Monday when I can go to the Post Office and figure the exact shipping to each person. After that, please pay IMMEDIATELY, or else your order could be delayed in shipping until November 1st. I only have until this Friday to get these out, and PayPal typically takes 3-4 days to transfer into an account.

actually, i might be wrong. your cd also says "eq’d for cd".
your cd says "pre-master cd", "security services – listening only", and "cd manufacturing and production use – handle with care".
the other one says "cd reference", and "promo use only – not for resale – not for manufacturing".clearly the two cds have different purposes. one is meant for the manufacturing process, the other one is meant to be handed out as a promo.
is the content different? i think so. but i’m not sure.
is the "pre-master" actually a pre-master? or would "not-finished master" be more appropriate?EDIT: your cd also says "digital mastering by keith blake at …"
and underneath it says "GE KB …": i think the KB refers to keith blake. and my guess would be that this version has already been mastered by KB.
your cd also says "from various sources". the other cd says "from 1630 source". so that one has been copied from another cd.
either way, your cd is way rarer than the promotional cd. yours might be unique.[/quote:hudlif4w]like you say, the mastering probably came from different sources. something tells me WB probably didn’t master these tracks, rather virgin, and they just sent them over to WB for inclusion on the soundtrack. i checked everything, and, to my ears, the soundtrack sounds verbatim as all known commercial versions. perhaps someone at WB DID tweak these songs a tiny bit, i don’t know exactly how it all works. when i saw KB, i instantly thought kerry brown, haha.
i guess my point/thought is this: all artists on this soundtrack appear courtesy of other record labels. unless, of course, they already appear on WB. to me, this suggests the respective record companies sent over mastered versions of what they wanted to contribute. but, someone needs to do a final mastering of the WB product (enter KB and GE). they don’t want to create a shitty soundtrack with errors. perhaps it was just a quick QC and nothing was changed. but if they found a major flaw, they could have figured it out and requested another "master" be sent over from whoever records before adding it to a soundtrack that they wanted to sound at its absolute best.
