Based on a Gish press kit from Caroline Records to Atomic Records, the release date for Gish has been adjusted from 1991/05/28 to 1991/05/24 for the first pressings of this album in US/NL/DE. This includes the US longbox.

Is every album always, at all times, released on a Tuesday in the US?[/quote:15cy21au]as far as i know, yes. unless it is indie, then well, whatever. but all major labels release their albums on tuesday. remember 07/07/07? there is a flag out there that states that is when the album was released, but it turns out to be wrong.

it is. that entire album, in my opinion, is their best work. better than their debut. most people don’t know the name though, or only know monkeywrench, everlong, my hero, or, if lucky, walking after you (which they remixed and RUINED for the video). most people also don’t know dave grohl redid the drums for the entire album after the then-current drummer had already recorded the entire album. he left soon thereafter. remind you of anyone?

but not going to add any about the TW release. has it’s own obi, good enough for me. pretty sure that is how ALL taiwan releases are anyway. most of them on this site are sealed, so it’s hard to tell now. it’s TW, good enough.

interestingly, AR is the only release so far (besides the promos) to come in a jewel-case. available on eBay right now, go get one.
