    it’s funny how tonight
i’ll let loose and just might
    remember your name
though your face is out of sight

put on the songs we both would sing
sounding bells that used to ring
from inside the tower, i can see
    what a pointless goddamn being

i do not think i’ve ever been more alone
and i know for sure i have broken bones
    but what is funny tonight
is that i cashed in your heart’s loans

they only gave me a few cents
over the months, it built no interest
much like my thoughts of you
i’ve put them aside and to rest

    ironically
did i write these words for you to see?
it does not matter much to me
    you’ve become nothing but history

i used to keep your bookmark
so i could always return to the start
but once the book was set afire
i put others into my cart

    no one but me
    understands the painful journey
and no one could ever forget you
but seeing you from behind makes it easy

part of me wants you to see
part of me wants you to read
    another says who really cares?
but if you read, i dominate thee

for this was not written for you
    please understand, do not misconstrue
    such a distant fading memory
i will see this through and through

forever you will be stuck with the one
with which you have no fun
i was there to offer a choice
now, silence, after you regained your voice

hope the hinges can withstand time
there was a day i wanted to make you mine
all the violence inside your heart
made you commit the perfect crime

    except for one thing
the one you adored is beginning to see
    that without you around
    things become so fucking easy

i want to rub in your face
how many times you’ve fallen from grace
but who is keeping the score
    i’ve dismissed your case

    no more questions, your honor
    i offer up this witness
    for you to ponder

    wikipedia is fun too:

People with this disorder are usually able to function at a high level and can be successful socially and professionally. People with histrionic personality disorder usually have good social skills, but they tend to use these skills to manipulate other people and become the center of attention. Furthermore, histrionic personality disorder may affect a person’s social or romantic relationships or their ability to cope with losses or failures. They may seek treatment for depression when romantic relationships end, although this is by no means a feature exclusive to this disorder.

They often fail to see their own personal situation realistically, instead tending to dramatize and exaggerate their difficulties. They may go through frequent job changes, as they become easily bored and have trouble dealing with frustration. Because they tend to crave novelty and excitement, they may place themselves in \"risky\" situations. All of these factors may lead to greater risk of developing depression.
    Additional symptoms may include:

Excessive sensitivity to criticism or disapproval.

Proud of own personality, unwillingness to change and any change is viewed as a threat.

Somatic symptoms, and using these symptoms as a means of garnering attention.

A need to be the center of attention.

A limited or minimal capability of experiencing love.

I didn’t know the "empty" numbers you created a while ago, so I continued where we ended. But you used some of the blank spots in the database just now already, thanks! Are there still many blanks left?[/quote:2f8dtk3k]

i have an Excel spreadsheet with the blanks. there are many left. i can send your way, i just thought one person accounting for them would be easier?

Probably she hopes to get away with it this time, unlike the other time she tried to sell it. When it hit the 10k barrier that time, the auction was stopped, and everybody wondered why. I remember people suggesting that Billy bought it back behind the screens, but obviously that did not happen. Maybe she got a letter from Billy’s lawyer/management back then, that scared the shit out of her. But now she tries again…!?[/quote:1bqtt2zd]

agree exactly. 3 day auction, people who would notice, notice, and in today’s social networking capacity, the news spreads like wildfire. so why 3 days? in and out.

also, back in 2005, the auction was probably stopped due to some of the claims we have been discussing in this thread. however, it’s 2012, 4 years after that case i mentioned from 2008. perhaps she sells things in 4 year cycles?

    it boils down to this:

these were unsolicited items sent to recipients in the mail as gifts. no money was exchanged. plain and simple. ownership is immediately passed to the recipient and they are legally allowed to resell.

    Billy Corgan ‏@Billy
@MonteLDS if Machina 2 is the Q101 copy than it should not be made available for sale because it was given as promo only and SP owns rights

    =============================================================================================================

\"In 2007, mega record company Universal Music Group (UMG) sued a music seller named Troy Augusto, who made money selling promo discs on eBay they gave him, saying that doing so violated the company’s licensing agreement banning any sale of such copies. In UMG vs. Augusto, however, the Ninth Court held up a 2008 lower court ruling in favor of Augusto that said promos were \"gifts\" under federal law, with this one also ruling in his favor that \"having just a stamp on a CD label cannot a make a recipient abide by a licensing agreement. As a result, individuals may resell promotional CDs as they wish, regardless of warnings….

UMG tried to get away with the weak argument that they transferred the license of these promos to Augusto and that he therefore violated copyright law bey reselling them on eBay, when in actuality they transferred not a license but ownership of those discs to him.

The other big legal issue here was whether the \"first sale doctrine\" protected Augusto, which says that consumers (or purchasers) can do what they want with items like music CDs, DVDs or books after they get transferred to them. The Court ruled it did, so in this case, the original copyright owner (UMG) lost its ability to control sales of its items once it gave them to another person like Augusto.\"

Fear not Manilla… This next tour will yield a piece of merchandise that you can cuddle up with at night. The Billy Corgan Rocking-Wrestler Sleep Buddy is sure to rock you to sleep while using a folding chair to scare away any bad dreams that may want to hang around. When the economy drops a little more, we will probably get offers like: the new album of Smashing Pumpkins, which will be called "Meeting Merlin", will be available as a digital high quality download only, priced 25 dollar. BUT! For those who pre-order 3 days in advance, the download will come with a free trip to the UK, for a 2 weeks holiday to find out about the roots of the legendary Merlin. After your return from this trip, your new and completely free of any charge Ford Merlin car will await you on the airport. With of course the new album of Smashing Pumpkins preloaded in the car stereo…[/quote:2dra62rw]

also, nice eye, i didn’t notice that before. i think those were available at like one show in 2011 or something? but then sp twitter account tweeted that they would be available later through SPRC. surprised it’s so secretive, but i just ordered two. 8)[/quote:1br09efq]
You guys talk about the SP heart necklace, right? That was at least available in huge quantities during the EU tour last year, and they didn’t sell well. Which is understandable, because the quality is so-so and it’s quite expensive too. I think that’s why they are now trying to sell it at SP.com, because they still have a truckload of that stuff. I always wanted such necklace with a leather chain, but I let it pass for forementioned reasons… So Derek, I hope you like them anyway when they arrive, please don’t let my comments spoil your fun! :?

I have to say, I like the marketing concept they are trying to set up. Somewhat cheap options for the MP3 lovers, more expensive options for the collectors. Everybody can pick something, and they give rather huge discounts when you order a package. For example, cd+shirt+hoodie=15.99+22+48=85.99 US$, now available for 65 US$. Not so bad… I only wished they put the octopus design on the hoodie, then I would have been even more happy with my cd package. But hey, wont complain… Unless the XL hoodie I ordered turns out to be too small for me again, like the Zeitgeist statue hoodie I bought at a concert in 2008. It’s very cool, but too small for my tall body! (Then I will never ever order a Smashing Pumpkins hoodie again, unless it is XXXL…)[/quote:1br09efq]

yeah, it’s okay arthur. i knew i wanted one of those necklaces since i first saw it. and i realize it’s not going to be made of platinum, that’s fine. i don’t personally think i’ll wear it, looks too dainty. but maybe i’ll meet a nice lady in the future who wants it. and i can give it to her. plus, maybe she’ll want a necklace too.

i was really looking forward to some sort of package that incorporated a teddy bear, or maybe a plush lighthouse that i could hold at night while i listened to my CD while wearing my oceania sneakers, BC boxers, and SP logo hoodie. i guess they don’t market to fans like me.

and why only the one phile suffix category? what about other people like me, myrmecophiles. perhaps a can of raid with a digital download? feels a little exclusive.
