manillascissorKeymasterI wonder if there is a difference between the Amazon Deluxe CD and the CD that can be ordered from SP.com. Guess not.
http://www.smashingpumpkins.com/oceania … -sale-529/
I have listened to the snippets on Amazon, but… I’m not impressed (yet). I like SP to rock hard and blow me away with looooong guitar solos, but the snippets are mostly from the softer songs. But I’ve heard the track Oceania live, and I know that is going to be good.
[/quote:twffxymu]i don’t know why they call it deluxe. seems a little strange. also, by the link you provided, it looks like amazon only carries the CD, but when you click on it, every option in the audiophile package is offered, and for less money (unless "high quality digital download" is different from what amazon offers). still, i’m sure you’ll be saving a lot on shipping by using amazon instead of sp.com, especially if overseas.

They seems to be down already.[/quote:3mqnwxci]if you ask around they are still available. also, someone on youtube put them all together, but that might be shut down very soon. i guess it was an accidental leak on the part of amazon. i don’t really understand how it could have happened. was amazon supposed to release these snippets on some certain date in the future and just fucked it up? are they that dense or what? this is the second time they’ve fucked up a smashing pumpkins release, by going live with something too early.
which also brings to mind, who else is sitting on the full cd at this point?
manillascissorKeymasteroh… my japanese limited/numbered "Mellon Collie And The Infinite Sadness" multi cd box is just arrived!!!
oh… the sticker is in a perfect condition!!! the booklets too… what a beautifull first edition in a really perfect/mint condition!!!!
what a lucky man…[/quote:2ml9jn5a]how about that daphne descends with the sticker? can we see a pic of that?
manillascissorKeymasteryeah, the shipping is kind of

manillascissorKeymasterI’ve already pre-ordered the digital download when I bought my ticket, but…I’d like the CD as well.
The t-shirts – the octopus is cool but the pyramids and cover art….not really.
Also on the official store page I noticed a SP heart hooded top that is ‘very limited quantity’
there’s a hidden object on the purchase button on the right here: http://www.smashingpumpkins.com/sprc/

don’t know if that has ever been available before?[/quote:3gr708er]i’m going to get the audiophile package.
i also like that octopus shirt.
i bought that hoodie already.

also, nice eye, i didn’t notice that before. i think those were available at like one show in 2011 or something? but then sp twitter account tweeted that they would be available later through SPRC. surprised it’s so secretive, but i just ordered two.

manillascissorKeymasternot yet, but i will on friday.

goddamn
manillascissorKeymasteri’m pretty sure he collapsed due to heat exhaustion, not screaming. it may have been during screaming, but not because of it.
manillascissorKeymasterThe screaming still works, but it is a professional scream instead of a heartfelt scream. [/quote:305rfyf6]
i think this is where i find the disconnect. sure he has to preserve his voice, but it comes across as heartless and that’s one of the biggest draws to the SP brand; the emotion.

manillascissorKeymastera few things:
it’s hilarious to me how he signals for mike to come in. i can’t tell if that was a preworked out method or if billy is just mad that mike hadn’t already started to count off. i think jimmy is/was just such an amazing drummer, billy was spoiled for 20 years. that’s not to say mike isn’t good, but it is to say jimmy is a demi-god (drumi-god).
that performance feels dated. when i listen to billy trying to sing and then scream, it doesn’t work. i was impressed with the vocals on the zeitgeist tour, and the rsd 2010 concert, but not so much right there.
he also comes across slightly bloated? perhaps the camera/stage adds 10-50 lbs?
was pretty cool seeing him on the ground working the amp and feedback, until he had to get up. it was like it happened in three sequences. akin to a grandmother getting off the toilet.
i liked the pantera outro.
manillascissorKeymastercrazy
manillascissorKeymasterVery cool

manillascissorKeymasterhad one along for a ride the other day. now he’s in my freezer.
manillascissorKeymastersince the first encounter
and with your appetite
i named you destruction
as you began to biteunaware, i did not know
buried head and bent elbows
sticking out like a paperweight
enough to keep fear at baywith just one touch
i knew inside
sucking my life
from deep insideclassic case of the parasite
using the host to multiply
too small to feel
so i use my sightbetween these pliers i rip you out
your head at last, don’t you shout
into the freezer, it’s cold inside
i may see you later, if you don’t die
manillascissorKeymasterWe are hoping that the majority of discussions on the initial formats/prices for the first release will take place on the Lucky 13 forum on sp.com though.[/quote:3ohn2gx9]
bummer
manillascissorKeymasteris there any way that lucky 13 could just have a website and not a forum? i just mean for these announcements. one page, that can be linked to that simply contains the latest updates that the lucky 13 want to provide. if you make some forum public, it is just going to turn into a big pile of \"i know how to do this better\", and i don’t want to sift through that. leave that for this forum and others. or, digest it through surveys. whatever, that’s just my opinion, if the announcement occurs on some sort of forum, i’ll not be participating, especially if it’s on the sp.com forum. i realize this may not mean much, but please consider seriously what i am suggesting. just a page for news, when it happens. no discussion is needed there.
manillascissorKeymasterat this moment in time
it is the past
you can only run my flag
up to half mastin memorium of a time
no longer here
put your face to the ground
listen with your earhear the vibrations
from long ago
read the words
i sometimes wrotejust now
i’ve moved on down the road
i’ve left you naked
in a trail of dust and smoketoo bad for the lack
of mirrors on my shoulders
then i could see your tears
rain against the bouldershindsight forces you
to keep looking back
but marching forward
keeps reality intactso fucking forget you
tis all i can do
your distant silence
only proves we are throughyou were never standing
in my oasis made of sand
always had a bottle of water
clutched inside your hand
manillascissorKeymasterNope, I did not till a few seconds ago. Bit awkward… But it made me laugh, those 2 sentences together. I thought I saw an sarcasm that was not there, obviously.
Sorry, MCA. RIP indeed.[/quote:1tma3rd9]
yeah, the music community really respects that guy, he was very young.

manillascissorKeymasterDo you know who MCA is, Arthur?
manillascissorKeymasterthree times she said goodbye
three times she died
three times she let me go
three times empty insidethree times were not enough
three times abusing trust
three times she gave me up
three times of misguided lustthree times and we meet again
three times i kiss those lips
three times we dot the sentence
three dots make the ellipsethree times she laughs out loud
three times i sigh
three times is plenty enough
three times, now move aside
manillascissorKeymasteri’ll get this flexi into the database today at some point.
also, RIP MCA.
manillascissorKeymasteryup, two copies arrived, just as i thought. i think topspin just filled any order that came in, because of the limited time window of 4 days and also because there is no way 5,000 people would go through the hassle even if it was free.
so yeah, i have two, but i think i could easily have \"ordered\" 10, with no questions asked.
