Interestingly enough the vinyl track \"infinite sadness\" is not on the bonus discs.

(Perhaps because this is a Siamese Dream era demo?)

so this PLUME version is a fuck up?
i mean: the album is supposed to be remastered but the same as the original; this is a different version of the same song…

is there more discussion online about this than just these Dutch-speaking "freaks"… :)

i’m curious as to if there are versions of the cd, deluxe cd/dvd/box and vinyl are out there with the original PLUME?[/quote:3r2rs48s]

Bram, any reports from what’s going on at the other fora? Could this be a fuck up?

i listened to my cd, and they used a different vocal take on plume. at least on some parts of the song. it’s very obvious. it sounds unfamiliar. weird.[/quote:3qiwajqh]

The mix, the intro and the lyrics are different…

The lyrics in the booklet are cleary for the 1994 Plume. Read them while listening to the 2012 Plume and you will notice that the lyrics are ‘swapped’ in some kind of way:

    1994 Plume: ‘gotta play’ in first verse, ‘what a waste’ in the second verse, ‘give enough’ in first verse, ‘give a fuck’ in second verse;
2012 Plume: ‘gotta play’ in both verses, ‘give a fuck’ in both verses.

Besides that, the 2012 Plume misses the repeating outro lyrics ‘bring me down’.[/quote:3qiwajqh]

Could there have been a fuck up where the 2011 Plume on Gish Deluxe should have been this 2012 mix, because there were hardly any changes there, right?

    Pisces Iscariot

    3. Jesus Loves His Babies

    – I haven’t compared them side by side yet, but I think it’s the same take, they just messed with the opening drums to make a fluid intro.

    6. Crawl
    Agreed. Not a good song.

    11. Venus in Furs (live)
Indeed: too bad we cannot hear the DJ’s amazing comments :)

    13. French Move Theme
    – first off: WHY?

too fit a CD with as many songs as possible?

Actually checking the SPFreaks forum to check for Sven’s comments on the PI deluxe release… hurry up dude!

Jeroen, did you hear the 2012 remix? Actually a major change to the original mix. Not like the 2011 Starla remix where changes were minor imo.

Extended outro with Billy screaming his guts out is nice :-)

I don’t have the MP set available at the moment, but as far as I can tell the Jesus is the Sun is the same song but with a different mix. Version on Gish deluxe has a lot more reverb in the vocals at least?

Pulseczar was probably included to put as much on the disc as possible?

Same story for the Amsterdam show last night, awesome show. We were now almost front row this time. My friend Anis was even on the fence, and Billy smiled and pointed at her during a really mindbreaking guitar solo (I think it was at the end of Ruby, the I Am One tease part) and she all freaked out hahahaha!

Same order and number of songs, slightly different show though. But the sound quality of the HMH venue is quite a bit better compared to Vorst Nationaal, Brussels, so we enjoyed it even more this time… What can I say… Really glad I went. Since some, or most, European shows are not sold out, we might see this band not coming back for a few years again, maybe…

Will upload some pics in a bit.[/quote:3r3mdl4j]

Billy said however that they will be back next year supporting the release of Ocenia.
