interesting, and quite good i thought :)

in reply to: Zeitgeist reviews #2616

    yay good reviews!

    yeah of course
(i count as the new fans turned hardcore, by the way  )
but… i guess im just worried of fake fans, the ones that’ll buy zeitgeist because suddenly SP are ‘cool’ to like… you know the sort, teenie boppers? them
i guess thats what i dont want happening
but considering the pumpkins age, somehow i doubt it

    go the fans yay!
buuuuuut… then again, how many of the sales are gonna be from the kinda fans, the ones that like tonight, tonight, and today, but not adore or machina, and are only buying the album because the pumpkins are back…
that will count for a significant part, im afraid

http://tinyurl.com/2y5cgm familiar much? there is a chance, however, that you are already aware how to get to it without the link i have supplied then, again, you may not and will instead appreciate it[/quote:2e28bdjj]
Superlord, I have to thank you. When I read your post and followed the link, it provided me with some nice material for the Virtual Music section. This is to be found here:

http://www.spfreaks.com/?page=COLLINDEX&cat=19 (click on the pics to enter the description page)

I have not uploaded all of it yet, but you get a good impression already. Thanks again, pretty cool research! :D[/quote:2e28bdjj] no problem :)
also, if you just visit web.archive.org you will be able to view even more pumpkins pages (including BC’s confessions again!) as well as any other site you want. just incase you hadnt already figured that out yet

    yeah i know
but it’s the thought that counts right?
besides, you get to go all nostalgic about old pumpkins websites? have you never missed the old website layouts?

but yeah, Billy knows what he’s doing, and i have every confidence that he’ll keep making quality music :D[/quote:25djp2rh]
that’s what it is all about huh… the rest is a waste of time talking about. it’s a fact they are calling themselves pumpkins, they don’t have iha and darcy, but so what? they do make quality music in the spirit of the pumpkins from the nineties, and that’s what is important to me alone. well just my humble opinion, but i was kinda mad and got tired of it today when i read all that bloody stuff. grrrrrr[/quote:25djp2rh]Then i don’t advise you read the kerrang! review of Zeitgeist. It was Ian Winwood (who is a notorious journalist, i believe). all but one paragaph was hum bitching about Billy and anything that WASNT the music…

really, i don’t get it. so much places post negative zeitgeist reviews, question the name pumpkins because iha and darcy are not in, question the relevance of this band, many so-called fans on another forum (you probably know which one, billy called it a bullshit forum already a few days ago) call billy by another name (i = o, i hate it) and they seem to dig the hatred from everywhere.

i ilke to keep things simple. relevance? when you sell 1 cd to 1 person, you’re relevant to this person, for whatever reason. when you sell 100,000’s cd’s, you’re relevant to a group of people, for whatever reason(s). it’s a non-subject. the name pumpkins? would the band have the same old members when they didn’t split up in 2000? non-subject also. just talk about the music, and the things around it please.

however when i would be billy corgan i would laugh my ass off. he knows better and is probably too old to question himself that much. go billy! rock on![/quote:1bx31bnx]I guess naming Zeitgeist Zeitgeist didn’t really help matters… ‘spirit of the times’? many people believe that he is trying to say something to this generation, when the predominant fan base is of the previous (?) generation, or more. but yeah, Billy knows what he’s doing, and i have every confidence that he’ll keep making quality music :D

JUst by the award, that overrule all the box owners :)[/quote:h5b55dy9] haha yeah!
unortuanately the award is about 10 times as much as i can get the boxed set for on amazon… and i don’t think my parents are that generous at christmas…[/quote:h5b55dy9]

Do you want a new one or doesn’t matter? We have a little shop here called ‘play it again’ where people can sell stuff if they need money. Perhaps they have box… i can always take a look for you…[/quote:h5b55dy9] hey thanks! i don’t mind if the box is old or new, as long as it’s in good condition with everything still there :)
but i honestly don’t know if i’m gonna have the money. because i’m still a teen, i’m still on my pitiful allowance of £20 a month (£5 of which is in hmv vouchers and another £5 goes onto my savings account) and i intend to raid my savings account to see pumpkins at the reading festival :)
oh and all the money i have actually on me, is being spent on the pumpkins albums i don’t have yet…

so you’re saying of all the items floating around out there, you want TAFH? :?[/quote:o0zkxxez] err… yeah
i don’t know why, but i do. of course i want the rare stuff, but TAFH is the most likely one out of those i’ll get
Of course it’s not the one i want most. but it’s actually slightly tangible :P

too late i’m afraid… going there is getting a message now

    We’re Sorry!
The page you’re looking for does not seem to exist.

As you have undoubtedly noticed, we’ve been doing some shuffling around here and the page you’re looking for seems to have gone missing. Please use the search field above to find what you’re looking for.

they probably deleted it because they expect a riot amongst pumpkins fans, or billy himself ordered to dismantle the article :P[/quote:1wovygay]And no-one would dare to go against Billy – he could crush the non-fans with a single note of his guitar :P

I think the rarest , other than the one with the book, will be blue.[/quote:39wphf27]
the blue zeitgeist is download only right… not that rare? i guess it will be available for many many years! or do you know about a blue cd maybe? if so i’m listening… :D[/quote:39wphf27]MY understanding is that there is no blue disc. Blue is download only. apart from the book, i would have to say it may be green. it’s only available in the u.k, and only in hmv’s there. also, there’s no incentive to get it over the red one, as there are no extra tracks, so less people will buy it than if it had a bonus track. just my opinion on what will happen :)

humm… track 7 of zeitgeist is united states…
and the words united and states both have 6 letters
which is ONE LESS than 7!
da vinci… (sorry – in-joke between a few friends of mine at school. anything OTT and ridiculous that looks like it has signifcance, but obviously doesnt must be followed by Da vinci…)
