G.L.O.W., sounds… aggressive. God Leaves Our World.

Well, not being completely serious of course, but there might be some truth in it also. In that German broadcast with Uli, Billy said somewhere that he is torn between a new rock album that will amaze the world (my translation) or an acoustic album as a contrary to that. I’m very curious what it will be too. I’m hoping for a rock track a bit more, as I love to hear Billy split his guitar in two, but an acoustic track will be welcomed warmly also! :D

 I just chatted with an old friend from the UK that suddenly disappeared a few years ago & now lives in the US… He might register on the forum here soon he said…

\"At the moment I live in Houston, Texas, USA. I still listen to the pumpkins but I haven’t bought very much in quite a while. I’ve decided to only collect stuff from the first time around. I’ll only buy one of each album since they reformed I think. Although i did buy a That’s the way cd single a couple of weeks ago…\"

Get your ass on here mister!

just give her one or more albums. why select only a couple of songs to make the best impression, if you can show the band how they really are? she’ll find out after a while anyway.[/quote:1kid8cr4]
Disagree. You don’t learn a little child to swim by throwing it in the Atlantic Ocean with windforce 11 too.

I don’t think the official channels would have sold it. The cd clearly says \"for promotional use only – not for sale\".

Canada has a strange way of releasing promo cds. Sometimes the rarest stuffs with different artwork (Adore, Machina, Untitled) and sometimes nothing or imported stuffs. When it’s without the EMI Canada promo sticker you couldn’t even distinct it!

And the obvious hits and slammers wouldn’t harm too I guess.

1979, Tonight, Tonight, Disarm… and then slowly adding 1 rocker to it somewhere down the line: Bullet With Butterfly Wings, I Am One or Rocket…

Maybe it needs a proper discussion when it’s worthwhile to give it a seperate upload. There are many cds with country stickers only, but is it always wise to mention it separately? So far I think so, and I collect them anyway, but what about the cosmetic side on SPfreaks.com?

Hey, now that’s a cool self help!

Wished it works for me too, I can use some brightness too these days. I have been working my ass of since last year October without any holidays, I was seriously ill a few weeks back, kinda stubborn flu virus and still not really over it, and on top of that some dutch bank is putting me to court now for something that happened in 1995. They want a huge amount of money from me, while I refuse to pay that of course. Long story short, my lawyer is kicking their asses big time and I expect to win the law case, but it costs 1,000’s and 1,000’s of Euros, and the stress… Urgh! Meanwhile my girlfriend is soon to be moving in with me, but she is stressed too because of the changes in her life and giving me hard times too sometimes… I know, she can’t help it, and I’m really not blaming her anything. But all in all, let’s say I’m tired and easily irritated, and I need some pep & joy again.

Wait, let me play some Pumpkins rock, that always helps… Bodyguard Billy, Therapist Jimmy…

Next I’ll try your dream Marcella, such a cool inspiration!

Yeah, we wished huh, Bodyguard Billy… I’m afraid we can only wait for the first Tokio Hotel fan to die. I was just talking shortly to my niece again, and we were browsing a bit in the hater shit.

    \"SashaIr said…

8 Feb 2008, 14:44 Tokio Holtel is shit. And all fans of Tokio Hotel that think that they are real rockers must die.Die Die Die\"

Pfff… those types would have been deleted and banned in no time here. I agree with you Marcella, it shocks me too when I read these things. What the hell is up with society indeed… :?

Yeah Marcella, so true! We (niece and me) tried to look for that message saying they were beat up, but we only could find it on some dutch fansites, so probably you can’t understand it anyway. We keep searching. But here’s a pic from the Hyves page of the non-fans, where they gathered almost 6,000 haters… Amazing!

Ah well, they’re not too bad. Lots of singing in German, but these 2 are in English.

This one is their biggest hit so far, if I’m right. Through the Monsoon or something.

We are sometimes surprised or even mad about the hatred that is spread over the Smashing Pumpkins every now and then. But I was on MSN with my little niece of 13 years old and she is a huge fan of Tokio Hotel, a German rockband, with pretty young members.

Reminds me of an actress I also thought was very cool a few years ago. Charlize Theron.
She played in a sci-fi movie called Aeon Flux. She’s got the eyes!

Bullet, if one the kitties look like this, can I take an option to have it? Have to ask my girlfriend first, but if she agrees, then I will pick it up in person soon, together with my girlfriend. OK? Maybe we can discuss that test-drive in your new car then also…

I remember the story was that a guy was able to record this on his mobile or something, through a studio wall, where the Smashing Pumpkins were rehearsing. I don’t know the exact recording date/venue, but I received it on May 12, 2007. Also we know that the Smashing Pumpkins rehearsed in Chicago in the Congress Theatre on May 08, 2007 before they embarked on the European Tour. So it might come from there…

On May 14, 2007 the 30 seconds snippet of Tarantula was aired in the US, and on May 19, 2007 Tarantula premiered in all it’s rockin’ beauty on KROQ radio. May 22, 2007 was the very first gig in Paris since they stopped playing live in 2000. Just to give you a little timeframe. (On a sidenote, the slideshow on top of this forum are pics from the Paris gig, to honour that the Smashing Pumpkins are playing again… 8) )

But think of it, it’s pretty silly, how a crappy recording of 18 seconds only can make you go crazy, longing for that good old new Pumpkins rock! I played it over and over again, astonished about that loud and aggressive rock!

But is it just a little jam, or a proper song? I still wonder…
