Yup, good idea Superlordspamulon. I’ll change the text a little later today.

Meanwhile the news is on sp.com, and it created a big buzz in a few hours already. People report this bootie even in South America! And the News section on SPfreaks is getting tons of hits, unbelievable!

    http://www.smashingpumpkins.com/membernews_3351

By the way, I’m very curious about the official point of view of the Smashing Pumpkins or their staff…

that looks great! nice work you two. :D

another idea may be to alert sp.com, they could make some sort of post about it as well. i’d leave that to you arthur, as you’ve been contacting someone over there recently. maybe they’ll just link over to our site. that would kick butt.[/quote:10cdhj08]
Your wish is my command manillascissor. I uploaded it on their User News section already this afternoon, but it takes a few hours, up to a day sometimes, before it shows. If it shows…

Cool pic, but the news item is already taking a lot of space… The pic is here also for the readers, and the story is very clear now, well, at least that is what I think. I made quite some changes. What do you guys think now?

I collected images from eBay of the yellow MCIS 3LP. I’ll mail them to you, Arthur.[/quote:11i8s28w]
Found them, they are used in the news article (see frontpage SPfreaks) and in the upload of the item.

Arthur, why don’t you make a front page expose about this. For casual fans that visit the site, but might not visit the forum. Then we’d be promoting good business w/i the Smashing Pumpkins community, and also screwing over the people who are making/selling these fakes.[/quote:2ygzfquf]
Excellent idea. Working on that as we speak, give me a few minutes. First we need an entry on SPfreaks in the Vinyl booties section, then I’ll create a frontpage news item. Again, excellent idea, manillascissor. Fuck those screwers!

I was listening to some live versions of the song and I think Superlordspamulon’s lyrics are mostly right. On my concert audio he clearly says "dissolution", but at the end of the first part he seems to be singing "before I leave time," he just sings out on the "time" part obscuring it I think. The last lines though, sound like "love is his claim" (Christ?). :)[/quote:2heeywg0]
Thanks, both of you! All in all I made it like this, the lyrics of Superchrist:

    Evolution
    Dissolution
    Rise
    One solution
    One takes you beyond
    This love
    And mine
    Before I
    Leave
    Time
    Aaaah

    Love
    This day
    Love
    Love
    Love is his claim

Tssss guys… come on! SPFC is wrong on the year of I Fall (which is indeed the right track), you MUST know that by now. Also they do not provide full info on which track is released where. But… who does? Hinted enough?

More info from a Gibson Exclusive interview with Jeff:

\"Gibson.com: What other musicians would you like to share the stage with?
That´s a frightening question. If I ever felt like I was good enough playing with these guys, my first choice would be John Mc Laughlin. He combines fluid, intense playing with this whole spiritual element. I really love Jeff Beck, I think he would be fun to play with. I also would love to share the stage with Yngwie Malmsteen, the shredding king. Actually we tried to get him to play with the Samshing Pumpkins, but he said he was in the studio and unfortunately couldn´t make it. You never know… We try to invite a lot of people to jam on our shows. Uli Jon Roth for example joined us for a few gigs. Actually it seems like Tommy Lee will join us for the Australian Dates.\"

    Down Under, prepare! :D

8 kudos for the answers (because it is partly wrong :P ) but another 5 for speed. 8)

The Pumpkins never released something called "Early 1989 Demos". It is Spoken #4 from the Moon tape. Nevertheless, you are a walking Pumpkinography you are.

    \"The surreal and suspect dream
I want to clearly remember it, but I can’t.
    The dream lives in me.
    My desires control me.
    My thoughts follow.
What is it that stops me from killing, from thinking, from recognizing my destiny?
    Nothing, absolutely nothing.\"

10 kudos to the person that knows from which Pumpkins track this comes from.

if you can’t see if there’s a white box or not in the pictures on ebay, don’t trust it. there are more fakes for sale right now than real ones.[/quote:mt6rpzw5]
I got that guts feeling also. Some people are getting quite rich at these moments, releasing that fake Mellon Collie vinyl. Disgusting, if you ask me. I feel sorry for the fans buying that boot and thinking they are getting the real stuff. Which they don’t.

    Right.

    One question:

How do you determine the original unnumbered pressing from the new fake unnumbered pressing? LOL. Impossible?[/quote:3bqbyvnk]
I guess not? Is there an original unnumbered pressing anyway? I mean there is this empty white box version, but that is a clear difference then, right? Also the matrixnumbers are different, I think Cool As Ice Cream described those things here on the forum already.

Well, they deleted us before on the English Wikipedia site, remember, so I didn’t bother about Wikipedia anymore. It must have been 1 of their own moderators that added those links to SPfreaks on different Wikipedia pages. To be honest, I think it’s cool! 8)

Me too jawn till dusk, though I’m no vinyl expert. But I asked a few dealers, and it is not in their official systems to be ordered. People that pay tons of money for this are crazy, it’s a bootie! A good one though, they spend quite some attention to it. Check Cool As Ice Creams links and you’ll find out.

When i saw some pictures of London at the Zavvi store , i was expecting to see the whole band too…[/quote:28ok15ik]
Smashing Pumpkins is basically Billy and Jimmy together, and all other members are hired, either for the tour or for acting in clips and videos. We all love Lisa, Ginger and Jeff, but they just get some good bucks to come on stage and play during the tours. However, I heard from insiders the atmosphere in the band is phenomenally good, like a rockin’ family! But… in the end Billy and Jimmy are the bosses and the main figures, they decide where to go and what to do next. So Lisa and Ginger probably went shopping in London, and Jeff probably had a hangover…

I love the Superchrist video for several reasons. It’s weird, and I love it when the Pumpkins do weird stuffs. It’s underground, I just love that underground atmosphere. It gives food for discussions amongst the fans. However, that Jesus-like figure is a bit too much on the foreground if you ask me…
