yeah, sp.com in general kind of has a bad crowd. there are some good people/ good fans, but on the whole that site just seems plagued with crap.
i’m so glad for places like here and tp.net where people are decent fans who truly appreciate the band and their work.
Franz Ferdinand’s new album- it got leaked on the 10th
its really good though and i will totally buy the deluxe 2 disc version when it comes out on the 27th.
i think i might have to order it from jolly Old England though- damn American stores that don’t carry British editions of albums.

yeah, that’s what i hate about sp.com. there are too many assholes there who don’t appreciate the pumpkins for the amazing band they are and don’t think that maybe they are hurting BC/ JC’s feelings with their horrid comments. if you hate the band that much then stay the hell off of the bands site. you don’t need to register to tell the band to go crawl in a hole and die.

i only knew about sliver. i don’t think most of the bands i like have anything of this sort. us SP just tend to have our shit together more with our kick ass databases of stuffs.
and in refrence to billys comment about only putting the singles on your playlist…i think he’s right. alot (not most, but certainly alot) of people listen to music that way, ignoring the rest of the album. you guys all disagree with this because your not the typical fans, you’re spfreaks! so i understand why your guys would have that type of response. but generally speaking, i think he’s right.[/quote:1nue69tm]
i guess you are probably right. most people probably do just listen to the hits only. my brother is that way and a lot of other people i know are that way too.
and as spfreaks! woohoo- we probably don’t approach that stuff the same way. a lot of us do listen to all the b-sides and demos and everything else the SP have done just as much as the hits and probably more. and many of us carry that to the other bands we like. so yeah, i guess we all have atypical fan behavior on that stuff. we have all spent so much time gathering every pumpkin song known to man and with the SP we have learned that sometimes a bands best work isn’t necessarily the radio friendly hit song, but maybe the stuff on the rest of the album or maybe even off of it. and i think because of that we are more willing to delve into the rest of the stuff other bands have to offer.
i disagree with the ipod thing too Marcella.
its not uncommon for me to listen to full albums, demos, etc. usually for the bands i like i want all of that and i carry it with me. heck sometimes if i have to stay up late (as in all night) to finish an art project i often just pick a band and listen to all their stuff- full albums, b-sides from singles, demos etc. it keeps me awake and i like the music.
