Cool As Ice CreamSpectatori checked it just now. it was $16.50 + $10 for shipping.
maybe there are less people on ebay during the summer?

Cool As Ice CreamSpectatori think it went for about $16.
didn’t these promos use to go for $60 or more?2013.07.16 at 11:01 am in reply to: What is the latest Pumpkins related item you bought? (cont.) #45743
Cool As Ice CreamSpectatori got that celestials US promo cd-r. it went for cheap on ebay.
Cool As Ice CreamSpectatori think interest is generally very low when it comes to the marked.
do you think you’d be able to find any magazine/website interested in the story of the marked, if you were looking to sell it? that sounds more like spfreaks.com material to me.2013.07.09 at 7:07 pm in reply to: Siamese Dream 1993 UK pressing – both LPs have same labels #46955
Cool As Ice CreamSpectatori guess they’re both used to mean the same thing.
it’s just with a record, when you say \"mispressing\", one might conclude something went wrong while pressing the records. and if i understand it correctly, there’s nothing wrong with the music on the records. it’s all there, everything on its correct side. right? they just put the wrong label on one side.
if you’re using a different, broader definition of \"pressing\", then mispressing could also apply here.2013.07.09 at 2:27 pm in reply to: Siamese Dream 1993 UK pressing – both LPs have same labels #46953
Cool As Ice CreamSpectatorI hadn’t heard about this, but I assume it’s a mistake. Not really a mispressing, but yeah, same family. I guess it’s quite rare. Dunno.
Has anyone else heard of copies with this mistake before?2013.07.08 at 7:27 am in reply to: What is the latest Pumpkins related item you bought? (cont.) #45738
Cool As Ice CreamSpectatorthe cd-r with the q101 transfer that i had years before i finally found a real copy, sounds exactly the same.

Cool As Ice CreamSpectatorare you implying you never listened to the q101 transfer of machina II before? it’s one of the main transfers, available all over the internet.

please tell me you are joking.
Cool As Ice CreamSpectatorah, you paid more than me.
the european mcis vinyl reissue still is massively overpriced though. and i also thought it had to come down, but it still hasn’t. same for the (cd+dvd) deluxe edition, by the way.
Cool As Ice CreamSpectatoras far as i know, the mcis vinyl reissue still hasn’t gone down in price.
looks like it’s gone up on amazon.co.uk: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Mellon-Collie-I … B008Z9L94O £181 now. haha.
Cool As Ice CreamSpectatorJust watched the original on Youtube, I think you’re right. I obviously don’t know my rock classics.

Cool As Ice CreamSpectatori’ve read that they played a cover of the led zeppelin song \"the immigrant song\". was that the first song of the encores?

Cool As Ice CreamSpectatori have that pink poster. it’s in my living room. i think it’s one of the coolest posters they have.
Cool As Ice CreamSpectatoraccording to this david bowie discography website, the sound quality of this bootleg is not as good as other bootlegs out there: http://www.illustrated-db-discography.n … m#birthday
Concerning sound quality, this release compares poorly to bootlegs such as 50th Birthday Bash (BPCD 973282-1/2). Also released on DVD and, in 2012, as a 3LP (Vinyl Passion VP80501).[/quote:1uuzbdba]

Cool As Ice CreamSpectatorwon that italian teitbite jukebox 7\" on ebay. yay! finally.
can’t wait till it arrives.
Cool As Ice CreamSpectatori don’t really hear it.
just the guitar sound, maybe?
Cool As Ice CreamSpectatordidn’t you buy it right after it was released?
Cool As Ice CreamSpectatorSome people have mentioned that there are problems with side A and side B of their US vinyl copy.
I personally don’t hear anything wrong with my copy, but apparently not all copies have problems. Or maybe it depends on what record player you play it?Anyway, something interesting came up on the sp.com messageboard recently. Someone contacted A&R, and got in touch with Stan Getz, the guy who did the vinyl mastering.
http://www.smashingpumpkins.com/board_n … t&p=782864
I decided to email A&R to ask about the issue and if I could provide a recording to demonstrate. Stan took the time to write back to me with some info. Hopefully he won’t mind me sharing the response with everyone.
Hi,
Thank you very much for the e mail, and I truly thank you for the offer.
We re cut master lacquers and dropped the overall level 3~4 db to try to make it "Bullit Proof"a while back.
It is really a great box set,and his upcomming stuff Rocks.
Thanks Again ,
All Best,
Stan[/quote:3oolfad1]I then asked him if there was any way to decipher the updated copy on the outside packaging. Here’s what he said.
As far as I know, the packaging is all the same.
The re cut was on Disc 1,and the way to tell is by the matrix .
After the matrix number it is scribed with Disc 1 – Ax1 on the A side and Disc 1 – Bx1 on the B side.
Thanks!!
Stan[/quote:3oolfad1]Based on this, it seems like there is a second version out there. Can anyone who has purchased recently take a look at their A&B for the different marking?
[/quote:3oolfad1]
I’m a bit suspicious, but if this is true, there’s a second pressing of the US mcis reissue on vinyl, where they adapted the volume on the first disc. The only way to tell the difference is looking at the matrix codes on side A and side B of the first disc. These now end in "x1".Let’s keep an eye on this.
Can anyone who didn’t buy their US vinyl copy around the release date check their copy and see if it has the updated matrix code on the first disc? Thanks.
Cool As Ice CreamSpectatorthere’s no guarantee the other box set will contain the book you’re looking for.
if you bought the deluxe edition (with cds and dvd), and it came with the vinyl book, then you’ve got a big chance that the vinyl box set will contain the right book for you though. so far, nobody has mentioned finding a vinyl box set with the correct book.
so if the shop is ok with opening the vinyl box set, you could be helped immediately. and they will have had to open an item they still have to sell, but then at least it can be sold with the correct book.good luck with it.
Cool As Ice CreamSpectatoruh, the right book perhaps?[/quote:33mhtvcv]
i don’t know what stores you’re going to, but the stores i know, don’t have a pile of different mcis reissue books lying around.
in fact, when i contacted EMI belgium, even they didn’t have any spare books. they had to get in touch with the band’s management in order to locate the correct book.so yeah, good luck.
the first step is definitely to go back to where you bought it. but from there on it’s "fingers crossed". check out my story in this thread for an example.
