Cool As Ice CreamSpectatoryes, all good points. but would you rather have a mcdonalds to order from or no mcdonalds at all? i guess that is the point of what i’m trying to say.[/quote:dmt9d90q]
i don’t mind if there’s a mcdonalds or not. i’m simply not going there. no complaints here.

and \"grunge\" compilation: http://www.spfreaks.com/default.aspx?pa … &item=2442i think the \"virgins\" bootleg sounds better than the \"grunge\" compilation.

Cool As Ice CreamSpectator:::: ARTHUR, IF IT CAN HELP YOU, THE 3.55 ‘ LONG VERSION OF "I AM ONE" KILLED ME WITH ITS 2 GREAT BILLY’S SOLO ::::
P.S. GOOD LUCK MAN[/quote:27j1knfi]
the show has been located. thanks to ben from splra.org.i am one was recorded on 1991-08-20. this recording is available on the bootleg "virgins". according to spfc.org, this bootleg cd was released by "red robin records". (and not "red line". but maybe they’re related?)

Cool As Ice CreamSpectatoryes, well spotted.
isn’t the pink on the j-card supposed to have been coloured in by hand, with a marker? (on one of the copies on spfreaks.com, this side of the j-card is just white.)
Cool As Ice CreamSpectatori wish it was. really.
it would make it less disappointing.
Cool As Ice CreamSpectatorI’m glad we found out though.
In the end, it’s just another silly mistake. Like \"We Only Come At Night\", earlier in the book.
Cool As Ice CreamSpectatorI am also curious what is there to find behind the sticker. More secret reissue messages, again not initiated by Billy Corgan?[/quote:24hq6xat]
I found out why they’ve applied those stickers to the "original credits" in the books of the European MCIS reissues (Deluxe Edition and vinyl release)!
I was able to read what’s underneath the sticker by holding the page against a strong light. And I was lucky that my sticker was applied a little bit too low, conveniently.
The sticker contains almost the same text as what’s underneath, so if the sticker had been applied on the same position as the text underneath, it would have been impossible to spot any differences. The text on the sticker would have hidden what’s underneath. But, like I said, I’m lucky with the sticker in my book, it’s just the right offset to read what’s underneath. The original text on the page below the sticker comes between the lines of text on the sticker, and is readable.Anyway, it’s not a hidden message. It’s just a mistake. But quite an unforgivable one. It’s a good thing they found out before this was released, and were able to correct it with the stickers.
The mistake happened at the very beginning, at the top of the sticker.
Where the sticker says:the smashing pumpkins – billy corgan – james iha –
d’arcy – jimmy chamberlin[/quote:24hq6xat]
the original page has:the smashing pumpkins – billy corgan – james iha –
jimmy chamberlin[/quote:24hq6xat]
D’arcy fell off!For reference, a picture of stickered page: http://i39.tinypic.com/k4hzpl.jpg

Cool As Ice CreamSpectatorupdate: today i finally received the correct book. (11 february – 27 may. not bad.)
i had to send a couple of extra mails to the guy at EMI in order to get my lower priority issue moving, but in the end, it worked out all right. last week i got a reply that he had found a vinyl box set book. he then mailed it straight to me. tada! yay!
~ the end.
Cool As Ice CreamSpectatorit’s not that bad. could be way worse. and it would be hard to be less off. there isn’t that much room there.
normally i look at mistakes in powers of ten. (no need to be more precise when you’re looking at being a factor off of something.) so yours was only a factor 10 off. (then there’s 100, 1,000, and so on.)
in this system, you couldn’t be less off, or you’d be right (factor 1).
Cool As Ice CreamSpectatorif light could travel in a circle around the world, it could go around the earth a couple of times in one second.
(speed of light: 300,000 km/second. circumference of the earth: 40,000 km. both approximately.)
Cool As Ice CreamSpectatoras far as i know, stars are being studied. just because there’s this tiny delay, doesn’t mean we can’t study them. what we do see is what’s used to study them.[/quote:3vgfi75i]
well it’s not a tiny delay. with respect to the stars, it’s on the macro scale. i’m just using it as an analogy to point out the micro delay in the experiment gloom is discussing i don’t believe is possible to be measured, either accurately or precisely. for example, i think the light you see from the sun takes 8 seconds to get here.[/quote:3vgfi75i]
i know it’s not tiny. i was just trying to exaggerate my point (that a delay doesn’t mean you can’t study things).and i thought it was more in the order of 8 minutes, not seconds.

Cool As Ice CreamSpectatorhere’s the red one. i think the left side is an appropriate representation of the color. the right side is a bit shadowed
[/quote:2sfc4t5c]
ah yeah, i have that colour too.
one could argue that it’s not really red. in my opinion, it’s more "hot pink", or another deep variation of pink.
Cool As Ice CreamSpectatori don’t think he was involved with any of that.[/quote:1q02is4t]
i wouldn’t think so either.
Cool As Ice CreamSpectatori thought it was earlier.
maybe i’m confusing it with that gish US pressing.2013.05.13 at 12:56 pm in reply to: What is the latest Pumpkins related item you bought? (cont.) #45635
Cool As Ice CreamSpectatorthis sampler has been part of the spfreaks.com collection for a while.
check it out: http://www.spfreaks.com/default.aspx?pa … &item=3573
Cool As Ice CreamSpectatoroh wait, i think i found some copies on ebay. the only difference on the sticker is that it doesn’t say \"record store day\". right?
and on the back, in the upper right corner, the number is missing.
Cool As Ice CreamSpectatormaybe those copies are part of the non-rsd release? (or would they be unnumbered promotional copies? what does the sticker say?)
also, what i’ve seen a couple of times, is that a record store day exclusive gets re-released later, not so limited. maybe this will also happen here? of course they don’t announce that in advance. typically they sneakily release it a couple of months later.[/quote:3eyb0lyn]
