DanniSpectatorNow, tws has spread to our local newspaper too:
http://nsk.se/article/20090323/NOJE/640 … g-pumpkins
Why does it always say \"Chamberlain\"?
DanniSpectatori’m not really into jazz, but who knows, maybe jc will open me up to a new musical genre.[/quote:1bwhbmut]
Oh man, Summer you need to explore the world of jazz.
It’s fantastic with all from Benny Goodman, Artie Shaw, Gene Krupa, Jess Stacey, Lionel Hampton, Dizzy Gillespie, Glen Miller and those guys! I love them all, but unfortunately most of them are dead today.
Jazz kick azz!
DanniSpectatorI just went over to http://www.jimmychamberlincomplex.com/journal.php and there i could hear some samples from his first album, i admit its was pretty decent, so looking forward to get the cd soon.
[/quote:3k77fspu]
Way to go! So you did actually fall in love with the album?
I’m glad to hear!
DanniSpectatorThis reminds me about the earlier work by the danish band Skyphone. I love their music.
Listen to them at: http://www.myspace.com/theskyphone
‘kinda dreamy and stuff. I like it. I like it a lot.
DanniSpectatorMayo: Yeah, you should definately get it at some point. It’s a total different experience listening to the lp and really dig the whole art of the album and such.
Benway:
I really dig your finds!
I’m a big fan of Catherine but haven’t got around to it that much (the Catherine-collecting)…
DanniSpectatorYeah, a great Triceratops turd!
DanniSpectatorI think there was talk about physical release on some releases.
[/quote:1w38il0t]
Then definately! I would do much for some hidden Siamese Dream-era treasures… I’m more or less obsessed with SD.
……
DanniSpectatorHow many of you guys would subscribe if it would 300 bucks ?
Im pretty sure i would do it.[/quote:1f1et783]
$300 US sounds a bit too grand?
But then again, for those "hidden treasure"… who knows. But yea, as most people have said it would be more appreciated in any physical release.
DanniSpectatorWhat a relief to hear from J! Jeez, I’m on the edge of my seat until the JCC releases their second album! It’s gonna be awesome!
DanniSpectatorThis is the latest:
Today 12\" vinyl and the Japanese Zeitgeist promo and the japanese Today (thanks Mayo!
)
DanniSpectatorVery interesting indeed!
DanniSpectatorDon’t worry about me guys!
Ouh, that just made it even worse. F*ck it, I’m going to bed…
DanniSpectatorSTILL nothing? This is freakin’ crap!
DanniSpectatorAnd then we have the bad quality and cheap booties who differs a lot from the more \"expensive\" ones.
I would not give $72 US for three of those Is my feeling. But I remember being like fourteen- fifteen and buying SP booties for a huge ammount of money , but I wouldn’t do that today. Much of that shit is already up on the internet so practically you’re only paying for the physical material.
DanniSpectatorNow the \"Billion Dollar Babies\" album by Alice Cooper is spinning here. It’s such a magnificent record. Also physical. With that big dollar inside that giant \"wallet\"-vinyl!
Actually, once (early + mid 70’s) Alice Cooper (the band) was totally smashing!
DanniSpectatorOh, Big Brother eeyh?
I don’t watch that crap. It poisons the mind.
And all these tragical \"celebrities\" we have in 2009. Not have they done ANYTHING creative but just being famous for being famous. It sickens me. I guess it’s the way the world is ment to be in 2009.
And then we have the freakin’ media… baah… It’s like \"Hey! Did you know that we have more than 852 million people, or 13% of the worlds population does not have enough food each day to sustain a healthy life?!\"
But I guess that showing pictures of Spritney Bears without panties is way more important, or where that Hilton female partied all night loooong.
DanniSpectatorWho was this Jade Goody?
DanniSpectatorArthur: Of course you can use that picture, but in second thoughts it did look quite bizarre, almost like an obituary notice…?
But then again, I hope not.
DanniSpectatorGreat stuff Arthur! Good work, really.
*Drooling all over the place…
*
DanniSpectatori really dont know if the pumpkins exist right now with just one original member….[/quote:1qtq96pg]
Looks like Billy is becoming Axl II… Only original member left, struggling to survive with the band… pissed off at everyone?
DanniSpectatordamn you! i’m at work
[/quote:iguhfbav]
Then get back to work, instead of browsing everywhere on Pumpkins forums! On a more serious note, I think Dazey might be right. It might have something to do with health issues…
[/quote:iguhfbav]
Perhaps high blood pressure?
DanniSpectatorBilly should rename the band to Smashing pumpkin , since his the last pumpkin of the pumpkins standing.
[/quote:345ugoyb]
Hi, hi… *
*Or the Smashed Pumpkin. Ouuuh, that wasn’t even funny to start with, I’m still saddend ‘kinda…
DanniSpectatori’ve never bought any Nirvana vinyls although i’ve considered it.
i want to know what other 90’s bands this company has in the works though.[/quote:2yhbmhp4]
I usually don’t like the whole idea of re-releases though…
[/quote:2yhbmhp4]
if they are cool and have extra stuff i don’t mind. i guess i’m thinking about the deluxe editions of Sonic Youths albums.
and that could be superlord.[/quote:2yhbmhp4]
Oh yeah, you mean those 4-LP box sets? Yeah, those are quite a smasher I have to say.

DanniSpectatorSince I heard the bad news it’s all just been Adore on repeat. Daphne Descends, Apples + Oranjes, Perfect, Shame, The Tale Of Dusty…., Once Upon A Time, and Pug has all been on repeat.
Before that: Jane’s Addiction.
