Walking through the orchard
I gently befriended an apple blossom
She smelled so wonderful
I couldnât help but smile
Walking down the brick road
Just me and her
Staring at the clouds
Counting the images as the floated by
Then a lonely man sitting on a bench
Looked up at me with forlorn eyes
I looked at my flower
And bid her goodbye
He said thanks and smiled
As he held her close to his heart
Sitting underneath the orchard canopy
All alone once again
The other blossoms just werenât the same
Playing with dirt in my hands
But time passed and I needed to go home
Walking passed the bench again
I see my apple blossom left alone
Under a brewing storm
Quickly I picked her up
And the petals slowly opened up
As if to smile and say thank you
I smiled back as if to say
