thread viewed over 400 times, yet, no one really says shit. of all the forums in the world, i’d expect this one to have a say. i guess i set my expectations to high.
As for me, not much, cheap items here and there, but I received back the official Japanese translation of the text that accompanies the Greatest Hits/Judas 0 (initial pressing?) from my JP stepsister. Not completely as exciting as I would have hoped, yet, still cool to have this information officially translated. It will go into some sort of accessible database once the new site launches. If you simply cannot wait, email me, I’ll send it to you.
Also, I have two Chilean Zeitgeists in the mail FINALLY! Very excited to get those and put them in the database.
To everyone, once again [there are a lot of you] who have submitted pics to me personally, I first of all want to thank you for continuing our mission on this site. And thank you for your patience. Arthur has had to take a step or two back, hopefully temporarily, and my work at home (the real job), has me working 12 hours days, typically. I just haven’t the time. It will get done, it’s my promise to you!

I completed the survey and everything, got to the last question and couldn’t think of anything to add (of course) and now i wanted to add something:
i would pay a pretty standard price ($20-25) for a compilation of SP appearances on other shows. so not concert footage, rather, live footage of the band through someone else’s cameras.
some good examples might be:
SNL appearances
awards shows
early appearances on heretofore unknown outlets
anything done for MTV
anything done for VH1i realize this could take time, securing the rights, and may also be defenestrated immediately, but i’d pay good money for it, once completed. just cram as much of this type of material as possible onto a DVD.
i am also EXTREMELY interested in any and all unknown/recorded interviews (full band or not). video or audio. any era.

I won’t know for sure until two show up at my doorstep, but I have two confirmation emails with two distinct order numbers. Which makes me slightly doubt that I’ll even receive one. But here’s to optimism.
Also, I don’t expect this to bring in much money, but that may depend what is actually on it. I’ve never been a big fan of flexis. They are cheap and flimsy and low-fi. I doubt this was produced on a flexi for any other reason than it was a cheap method. Makes sense, can’t blame anyone for that.
I am glad, however, to receive such a neat gift, that is right up my alley.

my assumption that the release date would be somewhere in between the two dates mentioned is false.

the ’95 date on the front is definitely a two year window, where after this date, the price can go higher or lower, legally. until that time, the price is fixed.
japan also has a rental policy on CDs that falls in line with these dates as well. i’m currently doing a research project for SPfreaks on obis right now.
one more thing, my stepsister is japanese and i’ve contacted her a month ago with the greatest hits promo CD (to start with) and asked her to translate EVERYTHING into english, including the obi, jewel case, text on the CD spine, and even the 3 page japanese text insert. she is a busy woman with a family, but she said by the end of the month, she may have something for me.
so i can ask her to make this the next release to translate for us.
