that particular poster (or banner) is indeed on the rare side of MCIS related official artwork. it’s not commonly seen for sale.
to have bought the poster framed would obviously increase the value, but only slightly. virgin did not frame it, that is an aftermarket occurence.
bram is right, i wouldn’t expect to fetch a large sum of money for that item, despite its given rarity. it’s just not that sought after.
i know exactly what you mean dazey. i have completely tuned out the band (musically) and pretty much stopped collecting (my last purchase was in july! – before yesterday). but anyway, i’m sorta looking forward to a FINAL teargarden album. i think i would enjoy listening to the whole album through and through, instead of one song at a time. just a personal preference, and for now, i’m fine with it.
they look totally legit to me. but i suppose that’s obvious, considering i bid on them.
one thing i’ve always tried to collect the shit out of is smashing pumpkins interview CDs. i was really intrigued by (mostly) billy and co. and their personalities, especially early on in their career. billy interviews nowadays are quite boring. he’s lost something, i can’t quite put my finger on it just yet. but anyway, this promo interview CD, even if it’s for zwan, is the only \"official\" interview CD i can think of, for any band billy has been in. hope it’s worth listening to. if so, i’ll upload it here for anyone who wants a listen.

Why has it not been released on the website yet?
Is it because it was on a soundtrack and has there been an agreement to giving the album a chance to gather sales via the Pumpkins fanbase,or what?

[/quote:1v40elhk]I think the fact that it is on a soundtrack is the reason. It may actually be somewhat owned by the respective record company issuing the soundtrack as well? I’m not sure. Billy obviously owns some of the rights, as he released it on EP2. Maybe it’s a timing thing.

i still don’t really know how to feel about this. i’m very glad i finally have a complete set. i’ve been looking for this for years. it was at the top of my wantlist. but i’m also very sorry for derek, because i think this is one of the things he was planning to never part with. it makes me feel a bit guilty.[/quote:1uzbxj3r]no worries bram. like arthur says, i’m glad it went to another collector who will cherish it as much as i did. i much prefer selling items via spfreaks, rather than ebay.
and also, i’m of the opinion that i WILL come across another set one day. it may take 10 years, but hey, i don’t mind waiting.
i’m pretty sure that’s a bootleg poster. probably sold in stores at one point in time, but not officially released by the band or virgin.
