manillascissorKeymasterallow me to
set the mood
with a cold one
or a warm two
sit down here
exhale a few
how was your day
what did you do
oh same ol’ story
nothing ado
not much to say
so anywaylet the night begin
and start right away
where each one has
something to say
as we share in the misery
that we call our own
a collective routine
for one as for allyeah, it’s true
it’s the same routine
but here with you
the pain goes away
the pill is smaller
and the tears stream less
easier to swallow
and in the end
it’s always with you
and i feel blessed
manillascissorKeymasterthe fat man in the big red suit
jollying inside my rabbit ears
with soot on black boots
he comes a knockin’
stroking that thick white beardenter santa-man into my house
good evening to you, though i be late
it’s well after midnight
you know it’s morn’?
well it’s okay, we now have a datewhat did you bring for me i asked
i think i was nice, but maybe i was bad
he reached into his sack
and let out a chuckle
and just said, \"here you go, little lad\"a shiny white and red plastic box
i opened and tore apart
i looked back up at santa
hoping to share
but he left soon after my start\"let’s go rudolph!\"
he shouted while riding away
i peeked inside
the package now mine
oh what a year, oh what a daya great white light from inside
shone across the room and in my eyes
blazingly hot
i dropped the box
what a strange holiday surprisethe sihouettes danced and drank
and sang the night away
i had so much fun
this merry eve
i hardly knew what to saybut soon the light faded and i collapsed
in a gentle fall to the ground
under the christmas tree
is where i crawled
for an overnight slumber to surroundso thanks fat man, once again
i hope to see you next year
although i don’t know you
with your mysteriousness
i long for your de stijl cheer
manillascissorKeymasterI sorta tend to agree with Easy on this one. Sven has a point, but we’re talking about a promotional CD here, which is meant to be made cheaply for mass distribution, albeit, not too large, as you’d want to make a profit from the real CD.
Anyway, there exists a 5 trk sampler CD for Siamese Dream, where is the full album promo that has been rumoured to exist all these years? For fucks sake, it wouldn’t be hard to just make a copy yourself, gold lettering or silver or whatever color and just say it’s the real deal.
At this point, I don’t think it exists, because it’s not like we’re talking 10 or less here. We’re talking at least a 1,000 pressed by Virgin.
Also rumoured is a Gish US promo CD, which I also believe does not exist.
My opinion is that Pisces and Mellon Collie came out, right around the time spfc.org went online (correct me if I’m wrong), and it was assumed some US promotional stamping was done for SD and Gish, however, I think over time, this assumption has been proven false. Not a big leap of faith to assume these were made, however, I think it’s safe to say, it’s wrong.
manillascissorKeymasterthat really sucks man.

manillascissorKeymastertime to get serious….

manillascissorKeymasteri get what you’re saying, but i just see too many around, after 2 years.
also, was the 1979 7\" pressed at around 10,000?
and MCIS around 20,000?
manillascissorKeymasteri don’t find this release very limited either. nothing suggests that to me.
manillascissorKeymasterit’s NM, no cracks in the case, CDs are perfect, as are the booklets.

These days, while doing research on the early shows of the Smashing Pumpkins (remember that unknown 1991 US Tour gig and recordings…), and on that 1992 Paard poster (to check if it is genuine, and it is), I also came into contact with the Smashing Pumpkins’ Tour Manager of the early Nineties. Well, with his girlfriend actually, that claims that her current boyfriend was the Tour Manager back then of the Smashing Pumpkins. I’ve asked her if I could have an interview with her guy, about the early days, and about being on the road with the Smashing Pumpkins. Should be an interesting article, right! Hopefully I will hear from them this weekend again. Keep you posted.
[/quote:2f4kvhh0]We talked about this, this Sunday Arthur!: this is way cool stuff!!!

I’m very excited to see if this will work out and if he’s willing to answer some questions. Back in the days I’ve emailed quite a lot with Mike Po for example and he shared a lot of great stories (and put those on his site too!). Some goes for example, for: Ron Roesing, Dale Meiners, Matt Walker and some others…
Just like the interview you did with John over at the Melkweg venue, this one could in fact yield some quite amazing stories!!!(by the way: i’m currently working with the editorial team of one of the magazines i write for to try and secure an interview with JC, on his current work(s) and ‘This’… plus: of course, then, TPS v.2.0 and leaving the band and all… nothing set in stone yet though, but we’re making progress there…
)[/quote:2f4kvhh0]GOOD LUCK SVEN!
manillascissorKeymasterVH1 Storytellers promo VHS video.
It’s cool cause I never saw the original. I bet it’s on youtube or something, but now I can watch whenever I want.
which is NOW.
manillascissorKeymasterEnjoy that poster! And have a happy one, and a drink on me.
manillascissorKeymasterI’m a little bit sad that they got rid of the old site. Some of it was pointless but I thought the articles and band posts should have been kept. I think it’s lazy just to link to hipsters united for any news. It seems like they’ve just stopped putting any effort into it now. I’m still hoping they’ll change it but Billy seems to be much more interested in his new spiritual website.[/quote:18r91tt4]
Yeah, which is fine. I’m not into it at all, so, whatever. As long as he’s focused on making good music, that’s all that matters to me. I was not really into the sp.com website anyway.
