Onelinedrawing – The Volunteers – I liked the cover, and the songs sound kinda like Weezer, not bad

Went to see this movie:

I was cringing at the music (from 1:00 in the trailer) – almost put me off – but that music isn’t actually in the movie, only at the end credits. I thought it would be all Disney-happy happy joy joy – but it did show a short segment on the environmental problems of over-fishing and pollution.
I am wondering why we got this movie a year after it was released though.

hmm, he revealed that he was going to write it over a year ago, when he was writing his Everything from here to there blog. It seems more official now however, since the media are picking up on it.

and yes, it will be an interesting read no doubt!

^^ It does a bit.

But since you can handle an alternative approach to electronic rock, let me introduce another band I like (clip NSFW). [/quote:2ak97ib3]

oh my, yes – NSFW.

hmmm, not sure I like it, but it is interesting.

I listened to some Bjork, Smashing Pumpkins, Muse and Nine Inch Nails tonight.

SP – An Ode to No One (final metro show) – where Billy sings/growls in 2 tones. 8)

I didn’t like the first one, but I like the second one – sounds like it was recorded in a busy kitchen with pots and steam, and fires, and aeroplanes taking off outside. :)

This is some electro-pop type music from a NZ band that did quite well in the 90’s. I had been looking for their albums for a few months now, and found one of their CDs in a 2nd hand store the other day. 8)

There’s more details of the reissues in this article:

http://www.rollingstone.com/music/news/ … s-20110505

so, with each reissue, there will be a bonus disc of previously unreleased material.

Will there be previously unheard songs?
I’ve gone on some message boards to see what fans are saying, and they think they’ve heard everything and they haven’t. There’s a lot of stuff we have that no one’s ever heard.[/quote:dok3xsa9]

That’s a toy gun, silly!

And I had to laugh at the Pearl Jam pic, look at the silly texts on the wall…[/quote:bvad78d6]

 yeah… did PJ realise what they were standing in front of?

and it may be a toy gun but I am pretty sure if the picture had been on the cover of a magazine at that time, it would have been a BIT controversial…

I guess that is why these photos weren’t seen around that time?
