    Sorry for the hurt
    Sorry for the pain
Sorry for what I put you through
    Sorry for the blame
The words I want to hear
    Never spoken
The time I want to spend
    Forever broken

A feeling of being in 2 places at once
Hearing the leaves rustling in the poplar trees
    Seeing the harbour lights aglow
Wishing this was a moment you could freeze

In both places, out of time
    Growing cold inside the mind

    Distinguish between both realities
A journey north on the highway
    Another dream to find
    A chance of freedom someday

    Smiling faces, distant lights
A million stars on crisp clear nights

Find your way out of the shadows
They reach out trying to forever cling
This time you can’t go back
To what the future may never bring

    The pattern emerges, sorrow relived
Cast aside the past, you’ll find you never lived

Striving every day to be the best
Wishing you could just get some rest
All you can do is sit and stare
At the ones who dream and dare

They say that pride comes before a fall
I’ll be the one to make that call
Trying to make it, wish me luck
But if I fail, don’t give a fuck

    yeah :(

    — she was one of my primary school teachers, from when I was 6. She was on this documentary about these cults, they showed her under hypnosis, saying what she had been through.

and here you go, not that great, but you get the picture….. and :(

    Every day you see them
    The little children learning
    Supervising their playtime
Teaching them to read and write

    And on the weekend
Visit the cult that brainwashed you
    And sacrifice the baby
    They made you do it

    Only remembering when
    Deep under hypnosis
    The terror and desperation
If only you could have saved them

It’s too late to go back
    What’s done is done
The shame of what you did
The pain of what you lost

Yeah, well, I have that black shock-rock side too, you know… A sweet, honest guy with a little nasty edge?

But yeah, I can understand your reaction, marigold. Sometimes, I like to go beyond the

1,000 pills downed , to see what is there to explore… Makes me remember a little anecdote… In Highschool, when I wrote for the School newspaper, I wrote a shock-story for the Final Exams edition. It was a psychodelic mindtrip, in which the School Principal was ritually killed by a student. That math teacher thingy actually refers to that story a little, in a way. Anyway, during the Proms speech the School Principal couldn’t help but saying that this years’ edition of the Final Exams newspaper was the weirdest he had ever seen in his career, thanks to some stories he read in it!

It’s all mindplay only, please remember that, marigold… :)[/quote:30mxoxe5]

okay then….. I might have a shocking poem for you too…. you mentioning the school teacher and ritual killing reminded me of something…. except it’s a true story…..

There’s a plague spilling over the land
    Wilting everything in its path
    Run away from the death
Shiver and scream to the edge
Leaping off into the nightmares below
No solace found in the dark chasm
Fires roar and spit out demons
    Chaos ruling the world
    Feeding on the fears
    Naming those who disappeared
In their vain attempt to wipe out
    The ones who seek control

The harbour reflects the grey sky
Dark clouds are moving in closer
    Trickling raindrops down the glass
A ferry leaves for the mainland

The wild forests and tranquil lakes
Land is glimpsed from across the bay
    Beckoning me over the waters
    Hidden coves where dolphins play

    Moving through the waves
    The ferry takes me there
A few miles into the heartland
Taking a dusty road from the pier

    Tangled vines on the hillsides
    Mist hanging over the valley
Climb up higher to see the view
Echoes of peace ring out everywhere

Moulded from the red clay below
These people came from the earth
The life force between earth and sky
    Breathed into from their birth

Forests and mountains held as sacred
They honour the land and ocean
    To keep their lore alive
Stories and legends are passed down

    The prow of a boat
    Carved out with a face
    A guide for their journey
Safe passage to a faraway place

    A green and smooth stone
Chiseled and worn by the elements
    Once removed and forgotten
    Just one touch reconnects

    The clothes and garments found
A bag to hold their wares
    Wall hangings in different patterns
Carefully woven in stories to share

A whale stranded in the bay
    The bones collected as tradition
    Intricate designs create a treasure
    An ornament or ceremonial weapon

    These stories found in pieces
In wood, stone, flax and bone
    Histories and memories
    They rest with them alone

    Like a fallen star
    They find themselves alone
    Empty, withered and betrayed
    I take away the soul
    And find the core
    Half-eaten and rotting
    Their deception lies inside
    Breaking down invisible walls
    Truth shared
    Lies devised
    Fake smiles
    Weary eyes
    A second glance
    Reaching out to grasp
    At nothing

    A war of words
    Through time and space
    Break the continuum
    And keep up the pace
    Many battles not won
    With rules to instigate
    Break the monotony
    And open the floodgate
    Pouring out into the river
    Endless rhymes and riddles
    Catch up with the flow

    thoughts of jaggy I

    misled is the brain
    that wants
    me to want me
    that’s
    who we are

    I’m wood
    like fire
    like glass and stone
    like water
    and you sail my flames
    why?
    I’m not the one
to tell you that I’m moving
    and you’re not?

    truth
    is in the 7 words
that we both don’t dare to speak
    so shut up and dance
dance our dance in the fading sunlight
dance my brains on the concrete
    and I’ll cut your silence
    in half

    thoughts of jaggy II

    the hunt
    is on
    the bass is pumping
    running, evolving
    running, reaching
    kadeng, kadeng
the smelly fur of the jaguar

    jumping, claws pointing
    nails in my eyes

    eat me alive, my friend
    I’m ready, I’m done

    thoughts of jaggy III (unfinished)

    I embraced the sun
    I captured the castle
I exploded my heart to you

    Lost
    Stuck on this island
    Strange happenings abound
Jumping back and forth in time
    A monster living underground
    Try to escape the madness
    Not sure who to believe
Memories from another space and time
Figuring out another way to leave

    ———————————————

Once again drifting alone on the sea
Following wherever the currents may go
Having no power over their flow
No way to change it, just let it be
The tide pulls me in to shore
An empty beach with dunes to cross
Finding something that was never lost
The waves yet to bring something more

    She walks the labyrinth path
    Spiralling in and out
Calling on the god of death
    To assist in letting go

    Meandering but determined
    Weaving patterns of life
    Dancing into the vortex
    Returning within herself

The eagle flies on its sole journey
    Looking down on barren fields
    Empty rivers and toxic seas
The last bird on its final flight

Finding a branch of a dying tree to perch on
He looks out over the deserted land
    The bones left as reminders
Of a battle no one could fight

    There was no freedom found
    No abundance to share
    Only emptiness in these lands
The eagle rises and soars into the night

I step out of the alleyway
    To face the world outside
    Calling out to a passer-by
Please can you spare some change?

I need a brand new skin
I need to fill this empty hole
I need new shoes to walk in
I sure could use some change

Some way to get out of this rut
Stuck in a cycle of repression
    Finding all the doors shut
What is it you want to change?

    A smile, a frown, a wrinkled brow
Keep it handy to the soul
    A little bit of energy
    To keep the fire burning
    Drink it up some more
Feed the victims of an inner war
    A clock is ticking somewhere
    Discouraging, dissolving
    Catching up on unreported news
    Patient in the knowing
    A little seed keeps growing

    Finding it hard to believe
    Drawn from flawed frustrations
    A half-framed picture of reality
