manillascissorKeymasterI was thinking about this question. I guess most big bands get a lot of promotion. I thought of a few bands/artists that would probably make collecting a nightmare.
U2
Madonna
Aerosmith
ElvisAll I can come up with….
manillascissorKeymasterLol…Seems odd they would make a 420 shirt. Doesn’t it?
manillascissorKeymasterOOP, I’m retarded. Nevermind that post.
manillascissorKeymasterStellar and Daydream as B-sides on a 7\"? How they gonna pull that off?

manillascissorKeymasteri don’t count that stupid i-tunes stuffs[/quote:hmpox95u] there seems to be a surprisingly high amount of itunes hatred here.
i dont like them either.
mainly because they allow bands to release singles, where you get one b-side on the cd, one on each of the two vinyls of it they release, and BOTH on the itunes version! (mcr, im looking at you…)
thank god for fan sites with free downloads! [/quote:hmpox95u]I actually like itunes for what it was intended for, you know, playing music on the ipod. but itunes on my computer as an audio player is a whole other story. everytime i open a new browser or an adobe file or anything that makes my computer "think", itunes gets all fuzzy. the REALLY bad part is that it doesn’t self recover. i usually have to restart the freaking song! it’s so annoying!
manillascissorKeymasterTalking about the Lull promo from Japan, it’s on the site:

Thanks manillascissor![/quote:1l7fjtao]
No, thank you! I’m just glad I could find something to fit into this huge compilation of yours!
manillascissorKeymasteri also have a japanese lull promo, but the previous owner removed the sticker and scratched off the "promo sample" text.
it’s worthless now.[/quote:2w2x8s5o]
Did you ask for a refund? That’s crap!
manillascissorKeymasterthanks orchid. i couldn’t get some of the files to download from my other source.
Good work!
manillascissorKeymasterAwesome to hear that. Very cool.
manillascissorKeymasterno prob!
manillascissorKeymasterAbsent Without Leave
manillascissorKeymasterSpeaking of which, where is Jimmy/D’Arcy for the Reel Time Sessions? They were around by then, correct?[/quote:2kkr38jq]
if you’re talking about the acoustic session: d’arcy was there, but jimmy wasn’t. jimmy’s absence was the main reason to record some acoustic songs. the plan was to record some songs with jimmy, but he didn’t show up, so they decided to try to record some songs anyway, because they already paid for the studio.
([url:2kkr38jq]http://www.spfc.org/band/studio.html?session_id=6[/url:2kkr38jq])i find it hard to believe some of you had never heard these songs before you read this thread. my face right now: [/quote:2kkr38jq]
Thanks for the info!! I think it’s funny, I’ve been a fan for SOOOOOO long, yet, I keep discovering tracks I’ve not heard before. It’s awesome, and those acoustic ones are great.
Speaking of which, everyone know about the Spun ‘Soundtrack’ being leaked, correct?
manillascissorKeymasterCool. Zeitgeist too! Can I get Death from Above this way?
manillascissorKeymasterVery interesting. Indeed, Superlord!!
I never took took the time to peruse this site before, but these tracks are awesome! There is something pretty magical about Billy/James when they first started. The songs are acoustic and beautiful. Speaking of which, where is Jimmy/D’Arcy for the Reel Time Sessions? They were around by then, correct?
manillascissorKeymasterWow, you’re right!
How is rspaa able to have this up w/o copyright infringement and all that?

manillascissorKeymasterLOL, I’m with ya. But hey, think of what you can do with the money you saved!!!
manillascissorKeymasterWell said Arthur. I’m big into collecting, so that’s where my interests lie. That’s why I come by here so often!
Sometimes when I go to Netphoria for example, there are discussions about leaked songs, demo tapes w/ alternate mixes, etc. I haven’t gone down that road. I may never, but you’re right. The depth of some people over there regarding such things is amazing. But when it comes to collecting, um, well, do I really need to say it? Ok, I’ll say it.
SPFreaks is the shit.
manillascissorKeymasterAlso, for anyone who’s paying attention, I received my cardboard sleeve 2trk Tarantula CD. So, as listed on this site, Italian pressings usually contain S.I.A.E. information on them. Usually a holographic sticker and S.I.A.E. stamped somewhere on the CD itself. This release does contain the holographic sticker on the back, but no S.I.A.E. stamped on the CD.
Conclusion: it was printed in EU (not sure where exactly), and imported officially into IT for release, so I’d deem it an IT release, just printed elsewhere. My copy anyway. I’m sure there are other copies w/o the holographic SIAE sticker on it.
Scans of this CD coming today as well.
manillascissorKeymasterHey Orchid
I got it in the mail recently. I’m going to be submitting very soon. Got to do some actual work first (to pay the bills, which in my case, are like 50% Pumpkins-related). But then, let the photos blaze through!2007.08.11 at 9:28 pm in reply to: For the freakin’ country collectors: Zeitgeist CD by country #2504
manillascissorKeymasterWow! What country DIDN’T release Zeitgeist?
Also, are you sure TW has a CD for Zeitgeist? I can’t find one…
manillascissorKeymasterHow did anyone know so much about these tapes? Did someone go to the LOC? Is this information available readily? How did all this come about?
manillascissorKeymasterI pretty much know that it is not the rarest. I went to BestBuy the other day, they still had tons of them. It was manufactured for worldwide release, I imagine there are PLENTY.
manillascissorKeymasterI like Ava Adore and 33 the best. Ava adore because everyone in the band (at the time anyway) was completely into it. D’arcy looked hot, James was, well, James, and Billy looked like Uncle Fester, but in a good way! lol.
33 is really neat. I like how it’s kind of trippy.
manillascissorKeymasterWell done Arthur! Nice shades.
manillascissorKeymasterThanks for posting that video Arthur. It makes me think that when the demos for Zeitgeist surface Death From Above will be a piano version from Billy’s basement or something.
Out of curiosity, I panned over in the bottom of the youtube frame to the Tarantula official ECW video. Why did the ECW do a version of this video? It’s a good video, has different footage of the band, but wrestling? What the hell?
