AnonymousSpectatorHere is that other email I said I would post about the IDEA for the bailout………
OK…..here’s a plan I could live with.
I’m against the $85,000,000,000.00 bailout of AIG.
Instead, I’m in favor of giving $85,000,000,000 to America in a We
Deserve It Dividend. To make the math simple, let’s assume there are 200,000,000 bonafide
U.S. Citizens 18+.Our population is about 301,000,000 +/- counting every man, woman and
child.
So 200,000,000 might be a fair stab at adults 18 and up…So divide 200 million adults 18+ into $85 billon that equals
$425,000.00.My plan is to give $425,000 to every person 18+ as a We Deserve It
Dividend.Of course, it would NOT be tax free.
So let’s assume a tax rate of 30%.
Every individual 18+ has to pay $127,500.00 in taxes.
That sends $25,500,000,000 right back to Uncle Sam.
But it means that every adult 18+ has $297,500.00 in their pocket.
A husband and wife team has $595,000.00.
What would you do with $297,500.00 to $595,000.00 in your family?
Pay off your mortgage – housing crisis solved.
Repay college loans – what a great boost to new grads
Put away money for college – it’ll be there
Save in a bank – create money to loan to entrepreneurs.
Buy a new car – create jobs
Invest in the market – capital drives growth
Pay for your parent’s medical insurance – health care improves
Enable Deadbeat Dads to come clean – or else
Remember this is for every adult U S Citizen 18+ including the folks who
lost their jobs at Lehman Brothers and every other company that is
cutting
back. And, of course, for those serving in our Armed Forces. If we’re going to re-distribute wealth let’s really do it…instead of
trickling out a puny $1000.00 (\"vote buy\") economic incentive that is
being
proposed by one of our candidates for President. If we’re going to do an $85 billion bailout, let’s bail out every adult
U S Citizen 18+!As for AIG – liquidate it.
Sell off its parts.
Let American General go back to being American General.
Sell off the real estate.
Let the private sector bargain hunters cut it up and clean it up.
Here’s my rationale. We deserve it and AIG doesn’t.
Sure it’s a crazy idea that can \"never work.\"
But can you imagine the Coast-To-Coast Block Party!
How do you spell Economic Boom?
I trust my fellow adult Americans to know how to use the $85 Billion
We Deserve It Dividend more than do the geniuses at AIG or in Washington
DC.And remember, The Birk plan only really costs $59.5 Billion because
$25.5
Billion is returned instantly in taxes to Uncle Sam.Ahhh…I feel so much better getting that off my chest.
Kindest personal regards,
Birk
T. J. Birkenmeier, A Creative Guy & Citizen of the Republic
PS: Feel free to pass this along to your pals as it’s either good for a
laugh or a tear or a very sobering thought on how to best use $85
Billion!!

AnonymousSpectatorHere is an email I just got
kind of interesting to readThis is very interesting. Makes you think.
Obama/Biden vs McCain/Palin, what if things were switched around?…..Think about it. Would the country’s collective point of view be different? Ponder the following:
What if the Obamas had paraded five children across the stage, including a three month old infant and an unwed, pregnant teenage daughter?
What if John McCain was a former president of the Harvard Law Review? What if Barack Obama finished fifth from the bottom of his graduating class?
What if McCain had only married once and Obama was a divorcee?
What if Obama was the candidate who left his first wife after a severe disfiguring car accident, when she no longer measured up to his standards?
What if Obama had met his second 2nd wife in a bar and had a long affair while he was still married? What if Michelle Obama was the wife who not only became addicted to pain killers but also acquired them illegally through her charitable organization?
What if Cindy McCain graduated from Harvard? What if Obama had been a member of the Keating Five? (The Keating Five were five United States Senators accused of corruption in 1989, igniting a major political scandal as part of the larger Savings and Loan crisis of the late 1980s and early 1990s.)
What if McCain was a charismatic, eloquent speaker? What if Obama couldn’t read from a TelePrompTer?
What if Obama was the one who had military experience that included discipline problems and a record of crashing seven planes? What if Obama was the one who was known to display publicly, on many occasions, a serious anger management problem?
What if Michelle Obama’s family had made their money from beer distribution?
What if the Obamas had adopted a white child?
You could easily add to this list. If these questions reflected reality, do you really believe the election numbers would be as close as they are? This is what racism does. It covers up, rationalizes and minimizes positive qualities in one candidate and emphasizes negative qualities in another when there is a color difference.

AnonymousSpectatorMcCain attacked, but not nearly as bad as I thought he could have done. He knew it wouldn’t help him. He wasn’t that bad. And independents didn’t like it when he did. They want him to stick with the issues.

AnonymousSpectatoryeah he was pissed he was gritting his teeth down while trying to explain something after Obama. I like how he said I don’t care about a washed up Billy Ayers (can’t remember the term he used). Except wasn’t that what his campaign was focused on last week? I wonder if he lost a few votes by not going on the attack like he said he would at this debate.
Obama has my vote still.
AnonymousSpectatorjalapenos are yummy! especially with cream cheese
AnonymousSpectatorI really don’t like these Billy do’s….
