ArthurSpectatornow you are making me want to display stuff-which I don’t have
[/quote:bx2qep71]
I once thought of framing my Smashing Pumpkins cardsleeves, all together in 1 frame…(in the end I decided not to do it, as the (sun)light might effect the colors…)
ArthurSpectatorHehe. I did it the other way round: first build up a Smashing Pumpkins collection, then choose my girlfriend. So she knew already my whole appartment is stuffed with Pumpkins posters, pictures and sales awards. And with \"whole\" I mean: living room, dining room, hallway, bedroom and hobbyroom. I even used to have a framed Chicago newspaper poster (the thanks for 13 incredible years Metro ad/poster from 2000) in the bathroom and some newspaper articles and concert tickets in the \"little room\", but I moved those items to the living. The poster is now inside the fireplace in the living and the tickets are in the closet with my Smashing Pumpkins cd & dvd collection. There you go.
But, of course, I don’t want to annoy my girlfriend with my hobby too much. So, if she suggests that an item should move, I’m fine with it without complaining. But so far she didn’t ask such a thing. Furthermore, she also suggested that if we ever move to a bigger appartment or landed property, that I will have my dedicated music room for my Smashing Pumpkins stuffs. I think that is very cool & considerate of her.
ArthurSpectatorWell, thanks to a new Ikea store near my house I have a new place to store my SP CD’s. Thought I’ll show it off…

What a nice apartment/house! Very cool.
[/quote:1pl91d40]
Second that big times.
ArthurSpectatorYeah, my CD is sealed, but it’s sealed within the display card as well. I spent $150.
But it’s cool it’s packaged together. Makes it more of a promo "release" from France, in a weird way.[/quote:160bn1sw]
I have seen several of those packages over the years, but I never thought of buying it. It is just the EU cd of 1991-1998, with a promo/display item that comes with it, but not really fixed to it. Of course that can be said of the French Machina snakeskin promo also somehow, but I thought that one was way more attractive as a set. I do not collect those promo/display cards (I have a few though, when they came for free with a French cd I bought/traded) and I already have the 1991-1998 cd itself… I saw this one on eBay 2 times, first time nobody bid, second time obviously Cool As Ice Cream bid and got it. Good price also I guess. Congrats!
ArthurSpectatorAwesome set indeed! Wow!
However, I don’t believe the cassette and the other promo cd was intended to go with the snakeskin promo package. It is so \"out of tune\", you know… But, again, pretty cool piece of Pumpkins memorabilia!
ArthurSpectatorIf you didn’t know they played under a different name, then how did you find this poster?[/quote:14071ucz]
Smashing Pumpkins, then checkmark "Search title and description".
ArthurSpectatorI think it should have come with the Machina album only? I don’t know… But if I use the little French that I know and try to read the booklet, it is promoting the Machina album. Anyway, check yourself…

(these are the pics from my personal Machina snakeskin promo, with a sealed album and a 4-page booklet)
ArthurSpectatorThey are on it’s way, be assured. But we receive quite a few e-mails lately, since we started that My Collection feature. And I have a family and a 50-60 hr/week job too you know…
ArthurSpectatorI was already thinking about a little symbol [/quote:1dukh8l3]
Or something like
[/quote:1dukh8l3]
Not bad, but it’s a bit oldfashioned setup we have (it has been designed in 2003) and all database fields are text based… so * or [FULL] would work only I’m afraid.
ArthurSpectatorAnd then you could upload MY pics.
[/quote:uvojn49v]
You mean those subway poster sized "things" that you have send in by email? Those take a weeks work EACH in resizing ONLY. Let alone the renaming and post-research. I’m having that done at some IT company in India as we speak, but they are a bit slow sometimes. But cheap…
ArthurSpectatorHaha, I found it!
You are using the following URL:
http://www3.speedyshare.com/data/666687 … na0003.jpg
But in fact you should use the following URL:
http://www.speedyshare.com/data/6666877 … na0003.jpg
Notice the tiny differences? www instead of www3, and some numbers changed too. You get the second (working) URL by asking the properties of the pic that you see in your screen inside the webbrowsers’ page. Right-click on that page, click Properties and then copy the URL that appears in the next screen to the forum reply… Should work. Oh, and please make sure the pic is max. 800 pixels wide, otherwise it will rip the boards apart, which gives an ugly look and is very user-unfriendly…
ArthurSpectatorActually your pics are OK I guess:
http://www3.speedyshare.com/data/666687 … na0003.jpg
But when I put them between the tags it shows like a red X:
ArthurSpectatorPipoka is correct.
Use the
ArthurSpectator… damn impressed … really shows how much you love the pumpkins … most thorough complete database of pumpkins material on the internet … fucking cool … [/quote:3ucgbs1n]
Thanks some pumpkins, always nice when some dedication is being appreciated!
ArthurSpectatorGood work Benway.

Second that. I was already thinking about a little symbol or word (for example on the Local Releasecode) to distinct the full articles from the rest. So it’s easier for everybody to check back what article still needs to be scanned. What if I put there [FULL], what do you think? And you know what? I’m getting kinda proud of this Magazines category also, as it gives so much good stuff to read, and remember what happened when. Glad we worked together to get this done, guys.
ArthurSpectatorAround 60 new magazines have been uploaded today.
They run from:
http://www.spfreaks.com/?page=COLLDETAILS&item=2852
back to:
http://www.spfreaks.com/?page=COLLDETAILS&item=2793
They include some fully scanned articles from, who else… mr.benway!
ArthurSpectator
ArthurSpectatorI have changed the Belgium compilation for a US compilation promo called Moods: Dark. Awesome.
And again a little treat to expect on CD2.
ArthurSpectatorDanke mr.benway, wie immer sind sie sehr… helpful. Ahem…
I cannot promise I will reach till here today, as the inbox is literally stuffed with dozens and dozens new items. First a new cd:
http://www.spfreaks.com/?page=COLLDETAILS&item=2792 (1993 German promo compilation with Cherub Rock)
Next to follow: dozens new magazines. Stay tuned.
ArthurSpectatorhere’s today’s playlist. i think it would be a cool show to see
[/quote:27wg9p1d]
VERY cool.I have plugged in the Belgium compilation album Afrekening 45, and playing it loud. What a good set of tracks! And a little treat to be expected on CD2!
ArthurSpectatorArthur you typed Rudy? Was that your typo or the cd?
cool TTW promo Manilla[/quote:1snz2s5h]
Copy-paste from the eBay auction text…
ArthurSpectatorits just the regular CD i think. somebody just didn’t keep the rest.
because they are a very bad fan.[/quote:bvhnhnqb]
Agree!
ArthurSpectatorAnother radio cd was brought to my attention (second chance offer on eBay), and because I didn’t bid that high the first time I came across it, I took the second chance. The other one went for 15 dollars more, hehe.
\"You are bidding on the 1 cd radio show featuring The Smashing Pumpkins recorded live in concert. This is the actual cd sent to the radio station for airplay. This program originally aired the week of January 17, 2004, show #04-03. Songs heard in this concert program are as follows: Jellybelly, Zero, Today, Rocket, Through The Eyes Of Rudy, Cherub Rock, Disarm, Bullet With Butterfly Wings.\"
ArthurSpectatori had like 20 of those siva au cassetts lying around the house. i gave em away as stocking stuffers for christmas. and i gave one to my dog as a chew toy.[/quote:2wpoha93]
please, tell me you are kidding.[/quote:2wpoha93]yes[/quote:2wpoha93]
Sjips. I wanted that dog’s poopoo to re-create that cassette. Sjips!
ArthurSpectatorWhatever country the one in this thread is from, I have the companion TTW one as well.[/quote:2wt6asgj]
Is that on SPfreaks.com already? The Tarantula promo is from Sweden, according our database, and according the person that I am trading with also. The American Gothic promo being discussed before is from Denmark, it contains the track The Rose March. But you can only find it filed under American Gothic of course. There are no other promos from Denmark known so far.
