ArthurSpectatorAs promised, heres some pictures from the cd i bought. It looks like the real thing to me.We all know Delabel does some werid promos, and this is defo a werido.Whats your thoughts ?[/quote:3pn4ktbx]
Still looks genuine to me, but it’s definately not one of Delabel’s best promos. Let’s face it, they already made 2 different very nice Greatest Hits promos (in a looooong line of pretty cool promos!), so why fuck it up again with this less nicer promo? Weird indeed, if you ask me. Oh you did ask me…
ArthurSpectatorFINALLY
it’s been a long strange journey to get to this point, and I FINALLY got the DVD[/quote:1nj92yih]
Feel like copying some parts of your diary here?
("A diary is a record (originally in written book format) with discrete entries arranged by date reporting on what has happened over the course of a day or other period." (Wikipedia))

Do you want a scan of the UK back without the promo sticker?[/quote:2hqxlpyw]
Yeah please! If it is the boy version, it would be a new item in the collection, right?

ArthurSpectatorI finally got my fat hands on the .CA promo of 1991-1998.FINALLY!!!![/quote:f6ojt8ey]
Make sure to wipe it with a dry cloth afterwards, kiddo.
ArthurSpectatorA bargain again (not)!
ArthurSpectatorin case these are just the regular dvds, sent out as a promo, don’t you think you overpaid a little?[/quote:1w8gzjni]
Absolutely.
ArthurSpectatorThe Everlasting Gaze UK promo (with the blue Virgin logo) and If All Goes Wrong dvd promo.
and i also saw that "promo" of if all goes wrong. it’s a very small picture, but it looks like they took the regular dvds and put them in simple white envelopes. i’m not saying this isn’t a promo, but if it is what i think it is, anyone can fake this one in two seconds.
if you win this one, let us know if there’s anything special about the discs or envelopes, ok?[/quote:347vtyuj]
Sure, of course. I’m just as curious as you.

ArthurSpectatorI’ve seen a few laserdiscs with Smashing Pumpkins tracks on it before, and I was a bit doubtful if I wanted to add them to my collection of silver discs. I decided not to do that as the size is different, so I stick to 1 size: the compact disc size.
But it’s still a funny item, nevertheless.
ArthurSpectatorBad bad bad girls. SPfreaks worthy you are.
Meanwhile, Smashing Pumpkins on a new:
ArthurSpectatorAmazey Dazey… How does he know!
Many happy returns of the day, blueczarina!
ArthurSpectatorI feel like I always win this way, literally. On eBay, with fellow collectors, and even assholes who want to make me pay high prices. This is how I will continue to bid.[/quote:32lfir8j]
So far for me trying to bring in some gentleman’s attitude in the collectors’ world. What a mistake. Collectors suck & they are greedy assholes, all of them. Boy, do I pity them. Tsss…OK, seriously now. I have no issues with who-ever that is bidding on auctions in his/her own way. And I won’t change my attitude either, because it brought me many friends and even more rare releases.
ArthurSpectatorGlad a fellow freak got that Greatest Hits promo. Provide some good scans/description ASAP please? Thanks!
And nice price too, if it turns out genuine.[/quote:ltq60vzp]
Looks genuine to me, what do you think?
ArthurSpectatorTo me the key sentences were:
\"Catalog Analysis : Sunflowers or Art’s Release\"
\"A release is featured in the discography as Asselin had done and as is common practice with any kind of catalogue-system. It’s title-based. Four examples serve to present the basic idea behind this method… \"
\"And The Smashing Pumpkins have only just embarked on the path of creating more and more and more Art in a continuous flow of release.\"
ArthurSpectatorI feel more for Thom’s approach: tell each other how high you’re going to bid and then only the person with the highest bid actually bids. This way you’re not unnecessarily pushing the price up for each other.[/quote:5eyxxxy4]
Takes a lot of effort with 10-15 people, right? First call, first serve for me. Besides, it gives a fair chance to the less richer collectors also, that’s a part I like next to it.
ArthurSpectatorI still stick to the idea of the unspoken \"gentleman’s agreement\" I have with a few people on here (in fact with everybody, when I think of it): if someone sees the item first and announces to go bidding, I’m staying away. I’m not going to give the seller the pleasure of tons of money. Instead I want the pleasure of a fair price to go to my fellow collectors. Even if that means that I have to wait a bit longer.
The only problem I have is that the guest browsers/collectors on here (who are 5-10 times the number of SPfreaks members I think) are aware via this public forum that a rare item has popped up on eBay, so the number of (potential) bidders might increase anyway…
