Maybe a FR compilation (as it’s sold from there), but not sure just yet. Time shall reveal.[/quote:2g20h8qd]
Cool find, I have been looking for that also. 4CD compilation with French songs on 2 cds and international songs on the other 2 cds. Again, cool!

429 bucks if you want all 23 shows on cds  Thats one hella of a present you getting there Arthur.[/quote:2i5zwv8h]

Yes it is huh… But it was their normal budget for the 10 Year Anniversary they said, so who am I to say no?

@ Cool As Ice Cream: I just read the comments on LiveSmashingPumpkins.com, and there I read the same type of complaints yes. But it seems that the latest comments are more positive, and that the editing people have corrected the problems. Some people call them perfect and flawless.

I also was told I am in some sort of cult because I am an SPfreak, I was like really? It’s the music and the people-

Exactly… And let me remind you this… Cherub Rock!

In a few hours from now we will hopefully be able to make News articles on the homepage again, I’ll make sure that the first thing to write is a little Contest Update story including a link to this post. This feature (the maintenance items and uploading of news) of SPfreaks.com needed to be re-installed also, and that is what is being done by RedWolf now. Fingers crossed!

And awesome story also, I’m getting very curious about the pics and the story on SP.com. Go Della go!

And you even mentioned SPfreaks.com in there? That’s awesome too! 8)

I’m not sure if they will become rare. They’ll always keep the masters, and will make as much copies as there is demand. This isn’t a limited edition.[/quote:1avgomlk]
Agree. But the CD will not be produced for a long time I guess, as it’s a bit of a hassle. People feeling sorry after a certain period might want to pay something extra for a certain concert or the whole set. Who knows, the collectors’ world is crazy and unpredictable sometimes. All I know is, I have my 20th Anniversary Tour Package set ordered already, and I’m gonna enjoy it big times, both as a Smashing Pumpkins (live) music addict and as a Smashing Pumpkins silver disc collector! 8)

Arthur, that’s a nice explanation, but does it tell us anything new? Do you think the SP shows will look any different than the Counting Crows cds in the first post? I think they will look exactly the same: cd-rs, cardboard sleeve, sticker.[/quote:1avgomlk]
Agree again, but we are now sure about that. Before it was only speculation.

Looks like it’s going to be a rather nice release.

    http://www.smashingpumpkins.com/pages/a … umpkinscom

\"every night after each show, hard drives of the hi-resolution multi-track recordings are sent to the band’s engineer who then mixes and edits the shows. The only edits involved are splitting the show into individual songs – there are no other edits made to the recordings.\"

\"The packaging that comes with the physical CD is tri-fold (in other words, it holds up to three CDs) chipboard (and for your environmental conscience, each is produced on demand and is made from 100% post-consumer recycled cardboard). The packaging is branded with customized Smashing Pumpkins artwork, and each release includes the track listing, show date and whatever other information pertains to the release. The artwork is similar to the digital art available, though formatted for the tri-fold packaging. While the CDs are not glass mastered, they are of the same quality. According to a rep from livesmashingpumpkins.com, Kufala, the company handling the CDs, \"utilizes state of the art robotic CD burning technology that replicates an identical copy to the original master. […] Kufala replicates at a slow speed to ensure the highest quality replication possible, [and utilizes] Tayio Yuden 80 minute professional grade blanks. […] On-disc art is thermally printed onto the CD.\" Kufala similarly handles the live recordings of Pearl Jam, Phish, Widespread Panic, The Black Crowes, Crowded House and many other artists.\"

I’m curious as to how big a pressing run this was. It seems to be one of the least commonly seen pumpkins records but perhaps that’s because it doesn’t command the big bucks. I picked mine up years back and don’t remember the price but it was pretty cheap, maybe $15.[/quote:2050ve00]

Seriously, I’m not kidding at all. I’m working in IT as a consultant, and as you probably know, people don’t stick around that long. So reaching 10 years is quite something. So we get a really nice present. They asked me what I wanted within a certain budget, and it seemed that the CD-set was exactly within the budget. I asked for it yesterday and my boss emailed me back today: You’re gonna have it.

Man, was I happy! I had noooo budget to buy it myself, so I was soooo happy! 8)
