Really not bad, a very epic tune. Do I smell a Pumpkins touch here? It is VERY different from his solo work anyway.

Nice, especially Daft Punk! And Tommy reminded me of this one, but it should be seen in real life. F*cking awesome. Depending on how you put back the inner sleeve, the pics behind the windows, where is now the name of the album, change.

    Welcome Spag! Check this out:

It’s a funny boot. I happen to have it too, just for fun. Don’t pay too much, 10 bucks should be enough. In China (and other Asian countries) they go for 1 or 2 dollar at the most. I found several of such boots in Malaysia.

A 1994 promo compilation with \"Disarm\", and this funny UK promo. Both for ridiculously low prices (I was the only bidder lol).

You did not buy 2 deluxe vinyl boxes, right? I have a spare deluxe cd box. I’m trying to trade it for a vinyl box, if someone is interested.

Meanwhile I had my James Iha poster framed. It’s absolutely stunning, and it has a lot of good memories with it.

Years ago I went to a 3D concert of Kiss. I didn’t get the concept at first, since they already have a larger-than-life-3D presence on stage, right? But it was rather cool, until I get a headache of those stupid 3D glasses.

and did you get that guitar signed Arthur?[/quote:13hi48oc]
Yup, a friend arranged that who met James before the gig. Mission accomplished! 8)

Few more anecdotes. We were sitting first row, since we arrived in time. James thanked me for coming all the way from The Hague, and had to laugh when I said "I didn’t order this weather!" (he asked why it was so cold in Amsterdam). Then he asked who ordered the cold weather and King of Gloom, who sat next to me, said he did. Another laugh, also from the audience, when James pointed to him and said "Thanks to this man here it is so cold!"

After the show James mingled with the audience, had a Heineken beer at the bar and signed several items that people had brought to the concert. I even noticed a Siamese Dream album! So I just waited patiently for my turn to have the poster signed. I was rather surprised to be able to obtain that poster (for free) since it was their only copy, hanging outside Bitterzoet in a box on the wall. I asked the bartender, and he said he would take it out for me at the end of the show. While I expected that it would go back in their archives… But no.

Here’s a pic I took with my cell phone during Mayonaise.

Last night was awesome, I’m glad I went! James really is a nice guy. :)[/quote:3hj6tx3v]
Absolutely! And it was really nice meeting the other SPfreaks (like you) too!

James Iha was rather chatty between the songs, and we al enjoyed this intimite gig (50-75 people only attended, which is maybe not so good for the organization’s financials, but it added definately to the atmosphere). This was the setlist:

    be strong now
    summer days
    gemini
    make believe
    till next tuesday
    dancing barefoot
    appetite
    new year’s day
    to who knows where
    speed of love
    mayonaise
    when you rock n roll

And we all managed to get some rock ‘n’ roll goodies, this was mine last night. 8)

Well, yeah, maybe King… But I can’t make it too early, since I have to work till 6 pm at a customer in Deventer. We will meet Sven (of course) and I just heard from one of my LinkedIn contacts that he will be there also. Why don’t you send your cell phone # to our email (click CONTACT on top here) so I can call you when I arrive in Amsterdam?

I just admired the deluxe vinyl and cd reissues. Stunning.

Probably the casual fan might not notice the book mixup. The books for the vinyl and cd boxes are pretty much the same. However, if your book with the cd box does not contain chapters about the (cd only) bonus songs, no information about the dvd content…

Or your book with the vinyl box contains chapters about the (cd only) bonus songs, etc…

    Then you know enough… :(

You only got three Target stores in your whole state?

But yeah, I noticed the marketing too. There are still several on eBay, but most probably 99% of the Target stores are sold out.

Not if they ship it from an European country I guess. We buy stuffs on Amazon quite regularly (for our baby, and kitchen tools sometimes, and the Gish and Siamese Dream deluxe boxes) and so far we never paid (extra) tax. But it got shipped from European countries, or the UK, I noticed.

Ouch! Amazon.com has it for $73.99, which is less than 60 Euro.
